Good Morning,
I’m new to the Daily Audio Bible and I’ve been listening just recently but I love the format and the depth of these readings. I have always been going to church but I feel as if times I go just to go and I want to change that feeling I have deep down inside. I want to grow stronger in my faith and have a stronger connection with the lord. Recently in the past days I’ve realized that my knowledge and faith of the Bible and the lord has waned a bit. I want to be able to grow stronger and more steadfast in his word. Thank you for your prayers!

Faith and conviction ebbs and flows over the years and seasons of a long time Christian’s walk with God. You can take that luke warmness feeling right to God in prayer, confess it and ask him for more zeal. When I have felt like that, I just keep doing what I know God wants me to as an act of obedience until something comes along and brings down that spark that rekindled everything again. Yes, prayer , praise and faith are what we were created for, but in my experience sometimes it bubbles to the surface in joy in The Lord and sometimes it’s an act of will. Maybe even a test. Keep up your end of the relationship…I promise God will respond to your faithfulness and help you.

Welcome to DAB. I’m happy to hear you are on the right track. You are in the Word and have a desire to know God more and have a stronger relationship with Him. WHOO HOO!! He wants that for you and to share with you. He loves you SO MUCH!! You are His child. He made you and created you for a purpose. I pray you would be encouraged and instructed by His Word. I pray that You would have others come along side you and disciple you. Believers are called to make disciples, but so often people just go to church and do various things like serving, giving, etc. but they do not obey the command to make disciples. I want to obey. I have my children and my husband that I can most easily influence, but I also want to make disciples of those who have a desire to grow stronger in their faith and walk with the Lord. I’m happy to pray for your request.
Father, I lift up this person and their request to You. I thank You for it. It makes my heart happy to hear that there are people out there who don’t want to just go to church to go and who want to grow closer to You. It thrills me because I know it’s Your Spirit at work in them. Let this person find someone who will disciple them, encourage them and instruct them in Your Word. May they experience a newness and complete renewal of heart, mind and spirit as they surrender to You and follow their longing to know You more and go deeper into the plans You have for them. Life with You can be such a great adventure! I know it! I believe it! I want more and more of it, too. It really helps when we have others to go through it with us. So many times I walk alone with You when I really want to be part of a huge bunch- a great big family! One day I’ll have that I know, but I also want it here and now. And so I pray. I ask, I seek, I knock, I believe. Thank You Jesus! You answer prayer! I wait on You and with You for Your incredible blessings and answers to prayer!! Encourage this person. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord. Thank You for leading them to DAB. May it continue to be their daily rhythm of time in Your Word. It will lead them closer and closer to You, but I pray they would not walk it alone. Give them a strong community so they can encourage one another and help one another and all use their gifts to edify and bring unity. Thank You Lord for answering my prayers!!! I pray all this in Jesus’ Name. Amen and Amen.
