March 26, 2019 at 12:07 pmLast year our dear brother-in-law, Tim, had throat cancer. He went through all the treatments and has been doing well. We all thought the cancer was gone. Now he has been diagnosed with more cancer, some in a lymph node in his neck and another in/on his lung. Please pray for a complete healing.
He is a devoted believer and trusts God completely, as do we, his family. We are asking God to heal him and keep him with us many more years.soundyaaPrayers: 3085Requests: 12
March 26, 2019 at 1:47 pmFelt drawn to Pslam 37:22-24
The Lord makes firm the steps
of the one who delights in him;
though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
And again Pslam 145:14
The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.Dear Lord Jesus,
We lift our brother Tim to you. Please be near at this time. Let him know your close presence and love. Let him know he is safe with you and help his family at this time. Please give him your courage and strength when he needs it and give him rest and the peace that comes from knowing you.

March 28, 2019 at 1:18 amFather, You love Tim. You are ruler over ALL things- cancer can be gone instaneously by Your power and authority. Using the authority You have given me, I speak to this cancer and say die. You leave Tim’s body now. You have been defeated. You are under his feet in Jesus’ Name. Thank You Jesus! Let Tim confess that because of You he will go on to live and not die or be sick. Holy Spirit fill him and give him complete peace. You rule and reign in his mind, body and spirit. Give him many more years of good health Lord. I praise You now! I reject all cancer and the reports. I believe what You have done for Tim. Hallelujah! Let all those believers in his life lay hands on him and believe that he is healed. YES!! Thank You! Praise You! Bless You! In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

March 28, 2019 at 3:02 pmThank you for your prayers. I will update you when there is more information. For now, we also are praying for his wife, my husband’s sister, Jacquie. She has said if he dies, she does not know what she will do. I believe that statement. Tim has been her everything for many years of marriage. Lord, strengthen Jacquie, give her Your hope and encouragement, no matter what may come. I know there are complications related to Tim’s siblings, and I humbly ask, Father, that You work out all those details as well. Every person in this family loves and serves You, help us all to recall Your lovingkindnesses to each other as we stand united in our love of You and for Tim & Jacquie.

April 2, 2019 at 11:28 amUpdate: Our Tim’s lymph node surgery is set to begin now. His wife and my dear husband are there supporting him. Lord, I pray for Tim’s doctors and the entire medical team that they will do better than their best in this surgery today. Help it be completely successful and less cancer than they expected. We know Tim knows, loves and serves You every day of his life. He’s an awesome believer! Bless him with many more years on this earth. Calm Jacquie’s fears and help her feel supported by her brother, my husband, today as they wait together.
Also, give them good communication about their last surviving Aunt having passed into eternity last night. My prayer is that they would go together to her funeral. According to Your will, O Lord.

April 5, 2019 at 11:07 amMy sister in law, Jacquie, and my dear husband are NOT going to their Aunt’s funeral. In fact he became very angry at me for saying I would go with him and has not spoken to me about it again. I don’t get this.
Lord help me lean on You and keep my mouth shut because I have a very strong opinion regarding this and there is alot I would like to say. You say it, Father, through Your Holy Spirit. Say what needs to be said to them.

April 11, 2019 at 12:46 pmThank you all for your prayers for our brother in law, Tim. He is still waiting for his biopsy report to return. 9 days and waiting. Today, Father, we pray that this delay in receiving the biopsy results is for a GOOD reason – that the results will be POSITIVE. According to Your will O Lord.

April 11, 2019 at 11:49 pmThe results are in: Tim called tonight to say he heard from his doctor: Yes, he has esophageal cancer, same as last year. He is ready to begin treatments, as soon as he gets over the cold he has.
Father, we pray complete health for Tim and for many more years with us and in Your service. Thank you all for lifting him up, people of God. He was very encouraged to hear that I posted his need on this site.

April 19, 2019 at 2:10 pmDear DAB family – I sit here in tears after talking with our dear Tim.
He begins chemo next Monday. Every week for 22 weeks. He will have a 2 week break and then start another 22 weeks. His doctor expects this to be the pattern for the rest of his life. Side effects can be many, they will wait and see which ones he has to deal with. He is turning over his many ministry duties to other people and figuring out how to do life.
He inquired of his doctor about what it would look like if he chose no treatment. The answer: 3 – 6 months of life remaining. Ughh, that hits hard in the gut. I love him so and I do not want to consider what life looks like without him. My being the youngest of our generation in our family, I suppose it will be my duty to bury the others, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. Today I feel that my grieving has begun.
He’s not young but he is strong and THE most positive person you’ll ever meet. He told us that he wasn’t ready to go yet, that there are still things he wants to do and see. He wants to go to Israel. Is it likely that he will be able to do that? No, not really, unless the Lord provides.
Thank you all for your continuing prayers as our family enters a new, different and unwelcomed trial.

Please heal Tim completely and give him courage to face this time of trial You are allowing in his life. Comfort his family and strengthen them with Your love and grace in their lives. I pray that this trial will refine all of them and make them more like You and bring You glory before the world through their testimonies. You promised to be with us through our trials. Thank you for Your presence.
Amen

April 23, 2019 at 10:33 amYesterday I visited with Tim and his wife, Jacquie. He has lost more weight and looks gaunt. His spirits are high, trusting God in all this. I had some time alone with Jacquie who was able to talk and cry freely with me. We cried together. She asked for my help with their business affairs. I told them that we are here for them, whatever they need.
Today Tim goes in for his chemo treatment and Jacquie will accompany him. Lord give them both strength to face cancer again. And give an extra special measure of courage to Jacquie. She loves You and trusts Your plan. She does not want to lose her husband.
Thank You that their son, Kyle, and daughter, Megan, understand the severity of this situation. Please help their son, Ryan, and daughter in law, Faith, fully grasp the challenge and the very possible outcome. Remove the scales of denial from their eyes. Help them reach out to their parents and give them tons of physical, emotional and spiritual help.
Thank you all DAB’ers for your concern and your prayers. They are felt and much appreciated.

April 23, 2019 at 11:37 amHeavenly father,
I bring Tim to your throne room of Grace. Lord you are the ONLY one that knows the number of our days. Lord you know how long I have to live and how long our brother has to live. I ask that you have mercy on him. Give him more years so he can finish the work that you entrusted in his hands. Lord we all look forward to coming home, but at the same time, we want to come when we feel we have DONE ALL WE CAN DO FOR YOUR KINGDOM.
I pray that you now give Tim new body parts so he can be made whole again. Lord you do NOT delight in us suffering in sickness. Sickness never glorifies you at all father. Sickness is NOT of you Lord. Would you please be near Tim.
He is like my brother. He is a husband. He is a dad. He is a MAN of GOD.Father , if there be ANYTHING in him that would stop him from getting well, I ask that you TAKE IT AWAY . Remove all OBSTACLES and FORGIVE HIM OF ALL HIS SINS.
Lord we have prayed on this altar for many and in particular we prayed for a woman who was at the point of death and doctors had given up on her. Lord you know her; even after she failed to acknowledge you …yet You healed her and spared her life .
You can do the same for this man who ACKNOWLEDGES you as LORD. Please give him 1 more chance so he can finish his chapter here on earth well and receive a WELL DONE ! from you.
Thank you father for hearing my petition. Not my will Lord but your be done. I desire Lord that you heal this man; please do so.
In Jesus name I pray
Amen

April 24, 2019 at 10:56 amOh Sheila! Your kind words brought me to tears. After I recovered, I called Tim to see how he’s doing after his first infusion. It went well. The only side affect he has noticed is that he is not hungry. This is a concern since he has already lost so much weight. Anyway, I read him your prayer as a way to encourage him. Let’s just say, we were both crying. Thank you for your love and for bringing him before the Lord.
This is so Tim: he has set himself some shorter-term goals, like being here for another 6 years so he can take both his grandsons on a trip to Washington DC, and a couple of other things. I took the opportunity to say that his wife needs to know where their important papers are kept. He says she knows but doesn’t remember. So I suggested he tell me so I can remind her. As a family we are trying to sort things out, loving, walking this path together, preparing in advance and praying hard for God’s complete healing.
Thank all of you DAB’ers for your prayers!gsimoninPrayers: 5621Requests: 43
April 25, 2019 at 10:50 amSheila – Tim wanted me to specifically thank you for your prayers for him. He is very grateful.
We have traveled through Life together as family members for nearly 50 years and there have only been a handful of times that I have seen Tim cry. Your prayers brought tears to his eyes – in a good way. Sometimes I think that Tim is underrated because he is always so positive, so caring, serving God from Day 1. Serve on Brother with joy and positivity!
