One is it truly exists, and the other is that it truly hurts. No one on earth is free from facing trials in their life at one time or another. You had Peter write in his first letter to believers that there are many kinds of trials in this life. But because of Your gospel, we know it doesn’t have to end on a note of hopelessness or despair. Instead, You have given us Your promises that we can cling to. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Praying 1 Peter 1:5-6 over all Your children today and always, dear Lord, especially those battling cancer: “By God’s power [you] are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. That doesn’t mean the suffering feels like “a little while” especially when we’re in the middle of it. But we can cling to His promise that our current suffering will not follow us into our eternal home. We also know that in every moment of suffering, You are with us. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Oh LORD, thank You for giving us a Great High Priest in Your beloved Son, Jesus. Through His own suffering, He is able to sympathize with ours. When we are tempted to believe the lies that You have abandoned us or that no one else understands what we’re going through, You promise that it will not last forever, and You understand completely what we are going through. We also believe that one day the trials will be behind us and only Your glory lies ahead. Thank You for that truth in which we can rejoice today, whatever it may hold!
