Through My powerful words, I shot mountains up into the air, created huge oceans with crashing waves, and filled the world with all kinds of amazing creatures. Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. But I choose to make My home in your heart. And I choose to speak to you in gentle whispers. I am the God of all Power, but I am also the God of all Peace and Love. Ask Me to quiet your mind and shut out the noises of this world. Then you can hear My holy whispers-assuring you of My Love.

September 21, 2023 at 6:32 amI need to learn to pray more in the morning and to pray expectantly. To spend quality time with God, I must pray at times when I am not distracted by people and problems. I must also learn to expect my prayers to be answered. When I pray, I need to have faith that He will provide the answer that is best for me, not necessarily the answer that I think is best for me.
September 21, 2023 at 6:33 amHow is your prayer life? Do you pray expecting God to answer, and are you looking for His answer as opposed to the answer you want? Spend time with God when you are not distracted by life and have faith that He will answer. He never disappoints. He ALWAYS answers the prayers of His children.

September 21, 2023 at 6:47 amOftentimes I wonder how I should pray. In this verse, we see at least two principles of prayer. First, we see that David prayed in the morning. Morning is a good time to pray before the cares of the day start to invade our time. Jesus also prayed early in the morning. He got up very early in the morning before the sun came up and He went to a desolate place to pray (Mark 1:35). He wanted to have uninterrupted time with His Father. He knew that the best time to spend with His Father was in the morning when no distractions came around. David and Jesus both show us that morning is a good time to pray. It is easier for me to focus my thoughts with God before my day gets started. Second, we see that David prayed expectantly. He made his requests known and then he waited and watched for God’s answers) to his prayers. I think that one of the hardest parts of prayer is the waiting and the watching. We are not good at that today. We have come to expect immediate gratification in all things. Prayer is not a fix it quick program. God will ask me to wait at times. And this is okay because it teaches me to rely more on Him and less on self. Jesus tells us not just to pray, but to pray with faith that God will answer. And I need to have faith that God’s answer is the best answer even if it is not exactly what I wanted to see happen in my life. Amen 🙏

I find spending quality time with our Father first thing in the morning is so critical to my walk with the LORD. How the remainder of my day turns out, many times, is contingent on how much time I spent with the LORD in the morning. Kenneth Copeland always said it’s about getting your marching orders first thing in the morning before taking on the tests and trials of the day that counts the most. There’s nothing that can replace those quiet moments spent in His presence, hearing His voice.

September 23, 2023 at 8:54 pmYes and true His.Debbie; There are so many days that I do that. Distraction is the enemy’s scheme to get us. We have to keep praying for daily grace. I need that every minute into the hour and day. It’s so easy to get caught up. May He continue to give us that unmerited favor that sustains and helps us through each day. I’m so thankful for this community and grateful for the modesty and obedience of the Hardins as their discipline and humility teaches us all how to relate to one another. Thank you for who you are!
