February 5, 2023 at 6:39 amHi DAB Family, Thank you so much for your prayers through my cancer journey. God has been faithful through the first couple of months of my cancer journey. My first chemo treatment went well and I was mostly fatigued and dried out from the harsh chemicals. I’m still in good spirits and praying that the treatment works quickly. My next chemo is on February 16 and I head that it may be a bit harsher in terms of how I’ll feel. So I can use prayers that God keeps getting me through. 🙌 a HUGE praise for the incredible community that’s surrounded me would love, prayers and encouragement since the moment I found out about my cancer. I’ve had friends visiting me every day I was living on the west coast until mid-January, including when I was hospitalized. 🙌 My best friend from college kept telling me her parents (who are like my second family) wanted to care for me on the east coast so I wasn’t living alone through this. And so I took them up on it and have been living on a beautiful and peaceful farm on the east coast. They flew me out first class in the very short window when my hemoglobin levels were in the range I could fly! 🙌 I’ve now been on the east coast for 2 weeks. It’s like God answered every prayer I didn’t even know to pray. The family I’m living with is INCREDIBLY kind and I’ve just had so much fun with them. We have a dog here named Gus, who’s been so good for my heart. This family has an incredible community of believers and so I’m meeting their close friends and neighbors and making incredible new friends here despite being pretty isolated. One couple has been coming over weekly with delicious dinner and took me to my first chemo appointment so I didn’t have to be there alone! The LOVE I’m surrounded with has been so healing on all levels! 👯♀️ my best friends have been coming to visit me every week, so I’ve been able to laugh with friends and feel less alone when I am not feeling well👩🏻⚕️ And my oncology team here is INCREDIBLE! They take me seriously and when I first met the oncologist, he told me he’d treat me how he would treat his own daughter, which as a HUGE change from the oncologist on the west coast who delayed my treatment for a month and made me feel like he forgot about me. I just feel SO blessed by every person I meet, from nurses, techs and hospital staff! 🙏🏻 please pray over finding an answer for my diagnosis – we still cannot find the exact root of my cancer, which means that it’s harder to treat and target. I’m what doctors call a zebra case 🦓 very unique and complex to diagnose, as well as due to my young age 🙏🏻 please also pray for complete and permanent healing! And for God to help me get stronger and more mobile through physical therapy and being active. In the span of three months I changed from being active and independent and working out daily to not being able to walk without a walker and needing help for basis things like cooking my food or carrying water into the room where I spend time. I trust God has a plan for my life after cancer and I’m fighting to make sure I can spread the love and light I’ve been given and so I can advocate for others too!! 🙏🏻 please pray for discernment about how I can spend my time and how I can begin my advocacy work. God has already completely transformed my heart and very being. So I know God has a big plan for my life. ✨ Love you all and I appreciate all of your prayers! Praying especially for our community affected by cancer and any other illnesses and chronic pain!

February 5, 2023 at 6:50 amOne last prayer request is that I’ve been so exhausted by the changes and how I’m feeling, I’ve really struggled to have a daily routine. I haven’t had the energy to listen to DAB every day like I used to or to read my daily devotionals. I am tired even to do my physical therapy every day. Could you please pray for God to give me the energy and motivation to start a healthy new routine? 💪🏻 ✨ 🙏🏻 I was too tired to do that until now, but I have a week before my next chemo session when I have the energy to start healthy new habits. I also need to gain weight – I lost 25 pounds in a month and cry every time I step on a scale. But I’ve been eating well and I’m confident that my eating routine can be a good starting place for adding other healthy habits, like exercise/PT and daily devotionals. 🙏🏻 I know that having a new routine and having some Godly goals every day will keep my spirits up and will help me get stronger and more confident again. I definitely lost some confidence when I lost the ability to walk, get out of bed alone, shower and clothe myself. So I really need God to help transform this humble heart to one filled with more confidence and trust that God is a healer!

February 5, 2023 at 7:20 amSweet Philippians… cancer is a hard road to walk. You will have good days and bad days. I have a survivor friend who should not have overcome but God touched her. She was relentless on claiming God’s promises snd rebuking satans’s attacks. Never loose hope in the Lord no matter how bad things look in this world. Stay positive and in His word. Our God is a God of miracles. Just as we read about in the Bible, we can still see him perform miraculous healing today. He is our healer, and we can confidently approach him, asking for healing for ourselves or someone we know. Psalm 103:2-5. “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. In Faith I ask God for healing. I proclaim with you His POWER and GOODNESS, believing and trusting Him to take care of you.” Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before you asking for healing for my DAB sister. My hope is in you as our healer, I believe you ARE able to do this. Your name is Jehovah Rapha, the God, who HEALS, and I believe every knee will bow to you, including the name of cancer!!! Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross, so that we can receive healing. You say that you forgive our sins, and heal our diseases, and I praise you for this. Thank you that the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us!! I stand in faith believing for healing for my DAB sister. Nothing is impossible for You, God! Give us peace and direction as you walk in our lives. Continue to bring supportive friends to lighten the load as she walks through the fire. In Jesus name, amen.

February 5, 2023 at 5:34 pm🙏🏻Heavenly Father, thank You that You were answering prayers for Liza from the West Coast (now the East Coast🙂) even before she knew what to pray for. Thank You for putting in place her medical team that You handpicked for her recovery. Thank You for getting Liza to the East Coast within the window where she could travel. Thank You for sending Your children to encourage and pray for her when the days are long and her strength wanes. Thank You for her returning appetite. Thank You for the wonderful healing environment, family, and home into which You’ve placed her. We are so thankful, Lord, that You have blessed our sister above and beyond what we could imagine, even providing a canine companion to encourage her. As she rests between treatments, Lord, we pray You would help her medical team to identify the source of her cancer so that her treatment can be more targeted. We ask that You help Liza adapt to this part of her journey by helping her establish a healthy routine for her spirit as well as her body. Give her Your wisdom on where to spend her energy while it is in short supply, and show her how to worship You and testify of Your goodness, even in this time of waiting. We are so thankful for our sister, Lord, and for the testimony she is for You, even in her illness. We ask Your healing touch upon her in Jesus’ name.🙏🏻

February 5, 2023 at 9:26 pmI’m in absolute awe of who You are in Christ Jesus. GOD HAS A PLAN AND A PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE. May He bring it to fruition according to His perfect Will and your exceedingly abundant faith. I love you, so glad you have Gus to comfort you when you’re feeling low. How tender is Our Faithful Abba to give you all that your heart desires and then some! You are strong and courageous in the power of The Holy Spirit. I am praying for more of Him in your journey. May His presence surround you in Your weakness.

February 6, 2023 at 2:14 amDear sister Philippians4:6. I’m claiming (Matt. 8:16-17) over you. “That evening they brought to Him many who were oppressed by demons, and He cast out the spirits with a word — (and healed all who were sick). 17. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: [He took our illnesses and bore our diseases].” Sister, I’m asking the LORD to heal you suddenly as opposed to at some future time. I believe that the LORD doesn’t want you, or any of His covenant children to suffer with this disease, or any other for that matter. I believe that JESUS took our illnesses meaning He carried them away! So that we wouldn’t have to Carry them ourselves. JESUS✝ paid the price in full by hanging on the cross, and shedding His precious blood 🩸 for our sins, and for the healing of our bodies. Healing, along with the forgiveness of our sins, is part of the Atonement. Father, thank You for the Atonement, and for purchasing Philipians4:6’s healing. We believe that it’s Your will that she experiences the fullness of her healing sooner, rather than later!
In the matchless name of JESUS ✝ Amen! 💓
