November 23, 2019 at 4:20 amDear DAB family. Ive been a Christian for about 30 years. I was gay when I came to faith. God convicted me of my sexual identity almost immediately after I gave my life to Him. And I remained single for the first 7 years. Then about 22 years ago I met someone. We have been in a relationship ever since. We even got legally married here in Canada. Since then I’ve gone through various stages of ignoring my beliefs while clinging to my earthly relationship then profound conviction and crying desperately for God. In the last 10 years I’ve grown internally more and more distant from my partner while maintaining the external appearance of a committed relationship. In this last 10 years my faith has grown with the help of tools like DAB. Now I’m at a crossroads. The marital relationship is ending as I believe it should. But I need prayer for strength to stay on the path of Godliness. And I need prayer for my soon to be ex whom I still dearly love.

November 23, 2019 at 6:50 amLord, I pray that You will shine the way for this lover of You to walk forward in life into the path of Your light and life. I pray that You will provide strong comrades whose hearts are determined to serve You, so that there will not be loneliness for human contact, but that there will be an aloneness in You. Thank You, Lord, as you have called each one of us out of our particular areas of darkness into Your glorious light. Once we have seen Your truth, there is no way to to “unsee” it. It is this vision that I pray will come someday, perhaps sooner than later, for the one who must be left.

November 23, 2019 at 7:31 amAmen. Abba, Father! You are Our Redeemer. Thank You for this dear one who cries out to You. Restore to him the joy of his salvation and allow him to walk in obedience – as hard as this may be. The choice is always before us: to leave all behind and follow Jesus. For each of us Lord, it is a choice we must make. You told us the parable of the soils Lord, in the gospel of Mark that there are different types of soils, ones that will never bring forth fruit, ones that will but soon fall away, and ones that will produce a crop of abundance. Since we all want to be the soil that brings forth the crop of abundance, O Lord, oftentimes we still want to neglect the price that must be paid, the work that must be done to turn the soil and make it fertile to receive the seed. This dear child asked for prayer to turn that soil, O Lord, and we stand with him with great love and compassion because we know that You do. If we all are honest, Father, we know the pull of the world upon our souls. You ask us each day to leave it behind and walk with You. I embrace this dear one and turn toward You today O Lord, in faith, knowing that all must be placed on the altar. Where else can we go, dear Lord, but to You? Praise Your Name! You are Worthy of All Praise.

November 23, 2019 at 8:47 amThank you family for your prayers and encouraging words. In the interest of transparency to this DAB community that I have come to call family, I am female. When I call in or post on Facebook I do it under the name Elisheva which is the Hebrew version of my given name, Elizabeth. The DAB name means ‘God is my oath’ or ‘my God is abundance’. Both meanings are true but I especially cling to the meaning of an abundant God. Abundant in love, grace, mercy, kindness, patience and faithfulness. May he teach me to also be those things in abundance. May those be the fruits that grow from the soil you guys are helping me till. Anyway, you guys will be all I have soon as I don’t have any Christian friends. Because I don’t have a brick and mortar church. So I figured honesty and transparency was best. I’ve been living in shadows too long. Lastly I am in Victoria BC so if anyone knows a good Bible believing, theology driven church here I’d be willing to try it.

November 23, 2019 at 11:12 amFather, today we rejoice with our sister, Elisheva, in her obedience to You, which encourages us and strengthens our faith. Lord as You called me away from my unbelieving family – mother, father, brothers – and to Yourself, it was hard. The hardest thing I have ever done, and with many tears and much loneliness. Still, at the end, You stood with open arms of love and acceptance. I give testimony that it was worth it all. I am who I am today because of Your great love and the hard things I have endured and had to do.
I pray for Elisheva to continue in obedience to You knowing that, hard as it will be, You are there, loving and accepting her. We pray for Christian friends for her and a Bible-believing church that she can call home.
We also pray for Your work in her partner’s life, may it be according to Your will and bring You glory. We look ahead to the day that we may call each of these women “sister”. ~gailLooking on Yelp this morning, this church looked like it’s worth a visit:

December 4, 2019 at 7:57 pmHeavenly Father, I return to your altar to intercede for this relationship, and seek your compassion and mercy on the pain both of these women are experiencing as a result of this break up. I pray for your compassion on both of these women, and for your revelation to both of them if your Savior and Redeemer. Fathers, fill their home and their hearts with a spirit of forgiveness., I further pray for the strength it took for this daughter to make this decision to turn from her former ways. Bless both of these women and the family that connects them.

December 5, 2019 at 4:57 pmI pray for your heart to heal and that you can feel restored in your newly found single life. Relationships are hard and extremely complicated. God will provide but the healing can hurt. Just like weight lifting, it hurts. But when the hurting stops, you will be stronger. Thank you for letting us pray for you. Blessings, Z

December 5, 2019 at 5:33 pmFather in heaven, I praise and thank you that you never let go of our DAB friend. You have named her and claimed her as your own. I pray this partner may know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I pray you will give both of them moral strength to move away from this attraction. I pray you will help them in all the details that lie before them. I pray this partner will give serious thought to You, the Creator of all that exists and to price Jesus paid on the cross so all of us who have lived in rebellion to your holiness can be forgiven and have the hope of life with You forever. May l.l.arruplen be strong in Your strength. May she have no confidence in her own flesh to do any of this. May she walk by faith alone and not by sight. Grow her continually in the love and knowledge of our Savior. We don’t even know how to ask for all she needs, but You are already there, walking with her, blessing her with your peace. We love you Lord. In Jesus name

December 19, 2019 at 7:48 pmGod bless you in your bravery in reaching out for prayer over this very difficult life decision. I left my 20-year same sex relationship about 8 years ago so I know a little about your current struggle. I hope this encourages you to know that the intensity of my struggle with SSA has lessened over time, and today I have confidence that I made the right decision when I turned my life and my will over to Jesus. I believe that there is peace and freedom awaiting you as well as you continue to seek Jesus and His call on your life.
LORD, thank you for your Elisheva. I pray peace and safety over her spirit and I ask that you continue to give her confidence that she is loved and supported by her DAB Family.
Help her continue to walk in the light, Amen.eileen_kitchen_ukPrayers: 2Requests: 0

Father, have mercy on these women, and honor the choice your daughter has made for obedience and faith. Praise you for the gift of strength that will allow this daughter to answer the call you have placed on their life.
