Our county/city experienced a quite unexpected microburst and/or tornado last night. Trees and power lines and online services are down across both the city and the county. Please pray for those who need utilities for medical issues, especially as the temperature begins to rise. Pray for the safety of the first responders and the linemen who will be at work throughout the weekend to restore services. I have not had any access to determine if anyone was hurt. Thank you for lifting up my community.

May 17, 2025 at 6:21 pmPraying for your County/City that has been impacted by a micro storm (sorry if I got that wrong). Holy Spirit come. In your loving kindness, please surround this community and the linemen that risk their own safety to restore their infrastructure/power lines, etc., so that this community’s safety and comfort can be restored. Please bless those with chronic conditions that require them to have medical equipment and the power to function. Please provide emergency generators and an avenue to get the financial help necessary to obtain and maintain the equipment necessary to sustain their loved ones when acts of nature disrupt our power. We praise you that there was no mention of lives that were lost and/or mention of people who lost their homes. Bless thankful heart for her faithfulness in serving this community and her desire to help with procuring services they so desperately need at this time, in Jesus Name, we praise and thank You Abba, Provider for Your love, Your provision and Your love for Your children and all those who are suffering. Amen and amen.

May 18, 2025 at 3:00 pmUPDATE: Thank you all for your prayers. Most of the city has recovered power, but there are many very large trees that went down across roads or on houses. The cleanup efforts will probably continue for some time. The suddenness and the intensity of the storm have caused some emotional trauma. We have only had our power restored for 45 minutes, so I haven’t heard anything other than word-of-mouth accounts of the storm. Some have claimed they saw a tornado, others believe it was a microburst. From what I witnessed, I thought it was straight winds. Whatever it was, it has left a great deal of destruction in it’s wake. Thank You again for your prayers.
