Brush MonPrayers: 0Requests: 1
February 4, 2022 at 10:32 pmHello all. Currently I am embarked on the path of quitting an addiction I’ve struggled with for the past seven years. Before now, though I’ve given many attempts to quit, porn has perverted my life, and I have hardened my heart to God and His call for rescue and repentance. For the past year I have been making strides to commit my mind to spiritual things and not the perversions of adultery, but have been unable to fully quit. Now, after attending a Bible study, I have decided to begin a schedule of intermediate prayer throughout the day as well as Bible reading in the morning and Daily Audio Bible listening in the evening. In this way I hope to grow my faith and keep my mind focused on the things of God. I have also committed to going cold turkey: ceasing every adulterous act I have committed previously. Now, I am currently struggling with fear built around countless failed attempts at quitting my addiction. I’m afraid that this will be another time when my flesh gets the best of me and I fail myself and God. I need prayer for courage and a hope in God’s thrown of grace. I also need prayer for the renewing of my mind. Furthermore, I want to state to you all my commitment to staying strong (maintaining self control) and quitting this immoral act. I’m 22 and studying to become a Rad Tech. For the sake of my relationship with God, my sister, my father and mother, and my future spouse and children, I commit myself to God to cease this immoral act.

February 4, 2022 at 11:24 pmFocus on Jesus! He knows everything you’ve done. He has put all of it in the sea of forgetfulness never to remember your past again. He loves you that much. He has given you examples of imperfect people in His word yet He used them. David was a man after God’s heart, yet he committed adultery. After confessing to God through Jesus accept Jesus as your Savior, you are forgiven. DEAR LORD I PRAY FOR MY SISTER IN CHRIST. Let her see the LOVE YOU HAVE FOR HER. Holy Spirit comfort her and let her know that you will keep her. You are powerful and stronger than her sin. In Jesus name I believe and know that she is forgiven and you are keeping her. Amen Amen Amen

February 5, 2022 at 3:00 amLORD, show us the importance of our words. It would help if in the future if we would stop referring to our addiction as “my addiction.” By confessing it as being “My”— we personalize it, and we ascribe power to it, and we give it ownership over us. And “we” are saying, go ahead and have rulership over us.
Better the redeemed of the LORD “say so.” And we begin to confess instead, that this sex addiction has no hold on me anymore. Because Christ has redeemed me, and freed me from all forms of lust. And He has delivered me from every deviant un-clean spirit known to tempt man. Let the redeemed of the LORD “say so.” Therefore, whom the son sets free! is free! indeed.
Our confessions create our realities. If we don’t like what we are having, change what we are saying. (Mk. 11:23), JESUS said we could have what we say. The problem is most Christians are saying what they have, and they continue to repeat the same cycle over and over again. Instead of calling for what they want (Ro. 4:17) they are doomed to repeat the same mistakes again and again. (Pv. 18:21) — “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Matt. 12:37), — “For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” LORD, help us to live the life of freedom that You came to give. You came that we might have life, and that we might enjoy it to the full, until it overflows…In JESUS NAME. Amen! 💓

February 5, 2022 at 3:32 amMay Jehovah God help you on your pathway to victory in Jesus name. Prov. 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all of your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths. What does Proverbs 3:5-6 mean is that we are to trust God with all our hearts and not depend on what we know. At all times, include God in everything you do, and this way, you give Him a chance to keep you on the right track. You may not always know what lies ahead. Blessings and peace🌸
