June 14, 2020 at 11:53 amDear DAB Family, My husband has struggled with addiction and alcoholism for years. He has really struggled with it in quarantine and I’m working from home, so it has been difficult to live with. Please pray for peace over our home, in our marriage and that he will seek God to lead him out of this way of life that I know he so desperately wants to get passed. I seek God in how I respond to the situation and I try to focus on myself, but some days I am just angry and frustrated. I, too, have been affected by the family disease of alcoholism. Thank you for your prayers.

June 14, 2020 at 2:04 pmLord, I lift up our dear sister in Christ. I pray for a deliverance to take place in her husbands life. I stand against this attack on her family. I take authority over the demonic influences that are holding our brother in bondage.
Sometimes, there is a time to stand up and speak to the to the one who is bringing all of the trouble, and command him to go. I tell you now, Satan, you are a thief, and a liar. And, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Get out! be gone! loose our brother. And never return again.
I plead the precious blood of Jesus over him. Lord, i pray that you supernaturally reach into his life and set him free. “Whom the Son sets free, is free indeed”. I ask loving Father, that as you did for me. You take the desire for alcohol completely away from him.
Give him a desire to follow you with all of his heart. Let him be like the tree that is planted by the waters edge. Drawing his strength from you. Lord do a deep work in him, and use him to bring deliverance to many others. Who are in desperate need of help.Bless! his wife, let her prayers be realized. Let your peace abide in, and over this family.
In Jesus Holy name i pray.
BelovedGlory to God!

June 15, 2020 at 11:31 amAmen goingupsoon! Yes, Lord, we pray victory for our brother over this terrible addiction. Nothing is to hard for you, so we pray that You will work in this family’s life to finally resolve this issue. I pray that whenever he even smells any kind of alcohol, that it will make him physically sick and help him turn away. Bless their home with Your sweet peace.
Dear sister, Sarah – We have alcoholism in our family and I can tell you that even if only one person is drinking, EVERYONE LOSES. If you would like to discuss this further, please email me at: gsimonin7@outlook.com and put “DABer” in the Subject line. I’m pulling and praying for you! Blessings, gail

June 22, 2020 at 9:20 amMy dad is alcoholic and I’m making choices to not go that route…it is hard. I still pray for him…not sure if your husband is a believer (my dad is not). I was lead to this Acts verse recently; as a reminder that even if an individual is in sin/far from God…God has ability to reach and change hearts (addictions). Saul was doing coat check while the first person in Christianity was being martyred. Fast forward…God flipped him and used him to write majority of New Testament. All this to say…be encouraged to continue to pray God will change your husband’s (and my dad’s) hearts and choices. My dad became my enemy and as easy it would be to mix the hurt and fear to form anger….and ran into verses to pray even for our enemies. It’s hard and been ongoing prayer for me…I also prayed your theology isn’t skewed. God still loves you. Prayed also for extra portions of wisdom, discernment, strength and safety to be poured into you in this unfortunate situation. You are loved…even in this process. “And when the blood of Stephen your witness was being shed, I myself was standing by and approving and watching over the garments of those who killed him.’” Acts 22:20 ESV https://www.bible.com/59/act.22.20.esv

June 22, 2020 at 10:25 amFather, I am a living testimony of your deliverance from addiction. I know your power to save. I pray for deliverance for this husband. May he cry out to you for help and your name be glorified in his restoration! Comfort this wife. Hear her heart Lord. Be with her through this trial. May your will be done in their lives, in all our lives. Amen.

June 22, 2020 at 12:13 pmYes, Lord, give Sarah wisdom to know what is her next right step, and the courage to take it. Deliver this family from the grips of this addiction. Often if not delivered, it gets passed on to the next generation. I’m sure that’s the last thing Sarah wants. Enemy, be gone! Jesus Christ is victorious over you. Blessings
