Hi Archie: I’m happy to pray for you. I want to encourage you. You CAN stop drinking alcohol. You CAN. The easiest and best way to do it is with the power of the Holy Spirit. Do you believe that Jesus is who He said He is? Do you believe He is the Son of God who came to seek and save those who are lost without Him? If you believe and tell Him You want Him to live inside you, He will. The Bible tells us all about how that same power, the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead will come to live in us and give us the same power. It’s really AMAZING that the God, the Creator of the World, all powerful, all knowing and more gives us His power to walk with Him, walk in His ways and not be overcome by the things of this world or the enemy. Through Christ we are MORE than conquerors! Believe it! When the enemy tempts us with things we stand in the power and strength of Jesus and can tell him NO. Just like Jesus said, we can say, get behind me satan. You can do that with alcohol or anything, Archie. God tells us to resist the enemy and he WILL flee from you. Take that and apply it to your life. I’ve done it with so many things…it works because God is not a liar. We just have to believe Him and put our faith into action. The good news is that He doesn’t ask us to do it on our own. He provides for our every need- even faith and the ability to do what He tells us to by the power of His own Spirit. It’s so cool!! Don’t get down on yourself. Don’t feel defeated. His mercies are new EVERY morning. He loves you so much, Archie. Believe it. He tells you to get back up and follow Him. You can do it. You will then have a life of peace and blessing- not without trials and challenges, but still peace, love, joy and blessings will abound through it all. I am hopeful that you will hear these words of life and take them in. I will pray for you.

Father, fill Archie with Your Holy Spirit. Let him look to You and be radiant. Let him be strengthened and encouraged. You are FOR HIM, who can be against him? Nobody! You are Lord of ALL. Let him stand in that Truth. Let him walk in the Spirit and not give into temptation. You say that with every temptation there is a way out. Sometimes we must run. Other times we can simply say no. Please let Archie be wise in the situations and environment he puts himself in. Let him replace his negative habits with good ones. Let him get out and walk, run or exercise. That really makes a difference. Let his mind be on things that are above- things that are eternal. Thank You for the good plans You have for him. Let him enjoy walking with You and not look back. Who the Son sets free IS FREE INDEED! Let that be Archie, let him turn to You and be saved. Let him walk in freedom and be a light to others walking in darkness. Be glorified in his life. Surround him with Your love and let him bask in it. I believe You are already at work and so I praise You. Thank You for this day! I pray all this in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
