Anxiety/Fear due to past Sexual Abuse

    Hello DAB family. I just joined the community January 1st. I am so thankful to Brian and his wife, and all those involved in creating/maintaining DAB. And very thankful for the community too. Please pray for me as I am diving deep into past sexual assault and sexual abuse experiences that have happened multiple times in my past to me. With the purpose of finding a deeper healing. (I was age 14 through 30.) I am in counseling, going through EMDR, and also going through my inventory in my 12-step Celebrate Recovery program. Celebrate Recovery is an AMAZING program and is Christ-centered. CR has meetings all over the United States. I have a lot of anxiety and fear, and it is very crippling at times. But God is good. Thank you so much for your prayers.

    Hi Jennifer! Welcome to DAB. Glad you’re enjoying DAB- I agree, it’s awesome. Brian and Jill rock!! We are more than conquerors through Christ. Stand strong and walk in His power and love. Forgiveness is key when you’ve been assaulted/abused. Unfortunately, I know about it. But I am filled with peace, JOY and love because of trusting Jesus and casting all my cares on Him. I still hate that I experienced any of it, but I know that what the enemy meant for evil, God has worked and is still working together for my good and the good of many. He’s doing the same for you, sister. He is good all the time!

    Father, comfort Jennifer. Holy Spirit lead her into all truth and into such a tight relationship with You that she could not possibly have anxiety or fear. I know You are filling her with peace, love, joy and all that is good. Let her take hold of every good gift- enjoy them and share them with others. Pass it on because You continue to shower us with blessings, SO much that we can’t contain them, nor do we have to try. I LOVE it!! Let Jennifer cast all her cares, hurts, pains and sorrows on You and let You replace them with good things. You did it for me and can do it for her. You are so good! Thank You for healing her mind and heart. Let her walk in Your strength- You are her strength. Let her rejoice in You and enjoy that You have made her glad! Freedom. Forgiveness. Acceptance. Love. You give us all that and SO much more!! YES! Into Your Hands I commit Jennifer and her request. Thank You for answering in Your perfect way. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

    Jennifer, Welcome to DAB community. It is a blessing to recognize names and voices and to join in praying about what God is doing in their lives.

    Father in heaven, Thank you so very much for leading Jennifer to a good program to help her recover from the terrible abuse in her past. Help her to rest in you as she goes through the program. I pray she will remain faithfully in the Word, that she will grow in the love and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Will you help her daily find your words to her in the reading and the message Brian gives, yes in the prayers also. May her daily life have soundness to it. Protect her from every harm, danger or evil the enemy would bring in her path. Carry her safely in your arms. Bless her with a gracious, loving Christian community. In Jesus name
