Dear Community,
I ask for your prayers that this return the Cross is the last time. Despite being in a church, I stray; prone to wander, but the Holy Spirit keeps calling me back.
May I be a true member of this
community to hold me accountable and so I can be of service and help to others.Yours in Christ,

I believe you are trying to live the Christian in your own strength. There are two works of the Holy Spirit. One is draw convict us of sin and bring us to salvation in Jesus Christ. When Jesus rose for the dead he appeared to the disciples in upper room and breathe upon them saying, “Receive the Holy Spirit .” It was at this point they were born again. Then Jesus tells them to wait in Jerusalem for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit that might be indued with power to be witness. You need the power of the Holy Spirit that you might bear the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-26) and witness with a gift(s) of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). Romans 12 also shows what it is to live a life in the Spirit. My friend we are saved by grace through faith to walk in faithfulness and obedience. This you cannot do alone you need to ask Jesus to baptize you in the Holy Spirit. We are also encouraged in Ephesians 5: 15-21 to Be Filled with Holy Spirit, this literally means a continuous action. Does it necessarily follow that receiving the Holy Spirit will result in speaking in tongues, for example?

I want to encourage you with what you display in public. We all at certain times in our life backslide. But I can tell you God sees your act of confession as a humble and noble act which will give you the desire to repent. Allow God to lead you through still waters psalm 23. Just spending quality time with your father and you will experience the power of the Holy Spirit. Read Hosea and fall in love with your Heavenly Father who only wants you to know him so that you may reflect his image.

The issue is not speaking in tongues for speaking in tongues is not th sign of the Holy Spirit.
The sign is power. Power to live a holy life, power to live for Jesus, and power to witness. You. Know you have the Spirit by the fruit of your life. You receive the Sprit by faith. You decide each day to walk in the Spirit or in the flesh. Are you in discipleship class. I will send you website that might be a great help to you. It will lead you through all the basics. Struggling again.

I let go of anger in worship, for me in great worship and songs that inspire you bring Joy. May be search for new songs and see how they lift your spirit. Of Course may not be the only answer but it has transformed me, I use worship at my weakest times and it keeps going. God bless your journey. I can’t begin to explain how your post affected me-thank you!! I am grateful to everyone for their support and prayers and yet I had an experience reading your post of March 23.Just knowing that you had thoughts and feelings (or the Holy Spirit speaking to you) that I was struggling and that moved you to pray for me lifted me in a way I can’t fully explain.

Its so good to hear, when I feel called to pray the holy spirit is at work I feel it. God is building you up and changing you, the joy and strength you get with him will be amazing. I pray joy and strength for you tonight and that as you look and seek God and are given a new experience of understanding how perfect his love for you is. I pray he can shape you and uphold you so you are changed and strengthened in him.
God uses people at different times to build you up, I have experienced myself what the community here can do and when this happens you see that God is your strength and at times it is just mind blowing. I am trying to give as much as I can to God and watch and respond to him daily. I do fail, as we all do, but Jesus never does, his word never comes back empty it achieves its task. God bless you today in Jesus great and wonderful name.
