Boldness to Witness

    Next week, my husband and I will visit his friend who is battling cancer—the cancer has returned strong. We of course want prayer for healing. But I also pray that “words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel. . . that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak”. Please pray for receptive heart and opportunity to speak the Good News. Your prayers are powerful to save!

    Father in heaven, May you be glorified during this visit. May they be given an opportunity to speak, an open door to talk about Christ. Will you give them the words to say and hold back any thought that is not from you. Will you bless this friend with peace. I pray any pain will cease. I pray cancer will be banished from his body. May they say Surely God was in this place. In Jesus name

    Lord, thank You for friends that care and visit us in our weakest times! Allow Your love to surround these friends and provide for a perfect intercession in the hearts of these friends. Provide the perfect promptings to bring the rain of Your love to fill the space between them in this visit! Prompt them to show their friend their love in a way that he would accept and understand the origin is You, Lord! Allow them the grace to speak or to act that reassures their friend of You! Keep them humble in their testimony and equip them as needed so that their friend accepts and desires You more! Allow their minds and voices to gently point to You! May the fragrance of their love draw their friend closer to the source – Jesus Christ! Amen

    Dear Holy Spirit, fill your servant that she may profess faith and proclaim your goodness to the ends of the Earth. As she visits the sick, use her to profess healing and strength, peace and love so that it brings hope to the sick and a renewed faith in you. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
