As we begin this Friday, our friend in Marysville is facing Hazardous air quality and ours has become Very Unhealthy all due to the continuing fires burning. Those fires are also threatening additional cities and people. We pray for strength and protection for our firefighters who have been on the fire line days on end, for more than a week now. And for all the evacuees camping in the Walmart parking lot in Chico, help each one find inside shelter ahead of the projected rains and cold. We cry out to You Father – for protection, for rain, for help and hope.

Hearing this morning that more than 1000 people are now on the Missing Persons list. Lord, help each and every person be found, safe & alive, if at all possible. If that’s not possible, let them be found so their families can pay their respects and bury their family member.
Our air quality continues to be Very Unhealthy, some areas it is listed as Hazardous. People with breathing issues are having difficulty. No one is complaining, realizing that all this smoke represents hundreds of homes completely destroyed by fire, and so many people displaced.
Lord, be near the brokenhearted and draw them to Yourself. Be their comfort, peace and give them hope.

Today we bring you a sacrifice of praise — after learning that our Pastor Paul’s family home WAS destroyed in the Paradise fire — still, we trust in You. We know You love him and his family. Thank You for providing him and his brother, Ray, safe passage out of the inferno. Thank You for the clothes and the boxes labelled “Pictures” they were able to take. Thank You for the preplanned move for Ray to go live with his brother, Paul. Help them through all the insurance, FEMA and all other fire-related processes that are ahead for them. Thank You for the sweet fellowship time with Paul & Ray last weekend as they joined us for worship and lunch. You provide blessings upon blessings and we are so very grateful. Thank You, Lord

All praise to You, O Lord the fires are 100% contained and most people have been found, some firefighters are returning home, a few had their homes burned to the ground. For the remaining Missing People, Lord help the Recovery Teams find their remains, be identified properly and returned to their families for farewells. Thank You for the cleansing rains which have cleaned our air.

Bless each and every firefighter and team member that came to Paradise & Magalia to help! Bless that bulldozer driver who drove through the flames to rescue people stuck on the road as they tried to escape. Who does that? A brave man. A man who put others’ lives ahead of his own.

Father, You know that I want to help someone affected by this disaster. I don’t feel that You have given me permission to do so without my husband’s agreement. So – I pray that You motivate him to mention this to me and be the driving force behind reaching out and giving out of our abundance to someone who lost everything. I cannot preach to him. You can talk to him and I ask that You do so, and lead us to the person(s) that You want us to help.

Today Lord, I continue to plead Your mercy for all the people affected by the Camp fire. May EACH and EVERY missing person be found. Help the forensic team do their work exceedingly well as they identify the bodies of loved ones. Father, I pray that NOT ONE person will be Missing when all is said and done. You know where they are. Please do this Lord, and in doing so bring peace and closure to all.

Father, we pray for the remaining 10 people who are Missing. Find them, Father, You know where they are. I pray they are found alive!
And for all the others whose homes and everything they had are gone, comfort them in ways only You can. Help them have an incredible Christmas encounter with You.

Thank You so much, Father, for the additional 7 people who were found! Only 3 missing at this time. Find them, Lord. Find each one! Thank You for hearing and answering our prayers.

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by Your will, they were created and have their being.

Peace, be still and know that You are God is my prayer for the fire victims today, Lord. Many continue to struggle to find a place to live, to have a working vehicle, to have money for gasoline and groceries, trying to not only help themselves stabilize but also their children who cannot wrap their minds around all that happened and all that they have lost. Help the parents come to good terms with this firestorm and then be able to appropriately help their children. Give them a new perspective on life and what’s important all the while they search for a place to live, a job to work, money for food, shelter and clothing.

Continue surrounding Champagne and her family today as they bid farewell to what was once their home, now a pile of ashes. Help her see You, feel You, hear You in the midst of all that sorrow. Bless her, Lord and provide exactly what she and her family need. Gird her with Your strength and courage to move forward. Help her grieve appropriately. Today, Father, I ask that You give her some hope and joy.

Yes, Lord, thank You for the home in North Carolina that You provided for Champagne and her family, well before the firestorm. Many people are still looking for a suitable place to live. And thank you that in their searching through the ashes of what remains of their burnt home, they did find some artifacts – one said, “Best Mom Ever”. I can imagine the truth of that statement for Champagne. As she returns to her new home, help her grieve appropriately, as she helps her children come to terms with all that has happened. Give her new, Christian friends to help her be strong and move forward. I pray her new community will reach out to them in love, concern, and friendship. Lord, I pray that she wanders into a Bible-believing church and be at home there because You are there. Thank You for Your protection, Your guidance and Your love of this gal and her family.
