October 1, 2021 at 10:42 amHey DAB family, I love you guys! There are far more important prayer requests out there. Low priority here for sure, BUT to ensure I choose whatever God has planned for me, I could use your prayers regarding a job I’m applying for today. I feel it’s the biblically wisest choice right now. Better for my physical health and family life because I’d get off night shift and see my wife more. Better for my spiritual/mental health because I’d be more active and surrounded by less negative influences, & more! But I am overly analytical to the point of doubt and 2nd guessing. A should I stay or should I go situation… I ask for your prayers that I would get this job if He wants. That He would bless the opportunity if he so chooses. For whatever doors to open and close that He decides. He knows best! I often struggle in navigating the will of God for specific decisions or how that even works, but I’m trying to walk by faith instead of paralysis and indecision, so to speak. I’d appreciate your prayers for wisdom as well! Thank you so much guys. I pray you’d be blessed always in Jesus’ name!

October 1, 2021 at 12:38 pmHey, Mr. McCann,
If you have trouble in terms of finding God’s will regarding career change, you can read the book, Just Do Something, by Kevin DeYoung. It addresses how Christians often overthink God’s Will when making major decisions in our lives, such as the place we live, the career we choose, or the person to marry. He urges his readers not do things like cast lot or look for signs, but he simply tells them to just do something. Hope the reading can help you remove indecision and avoid trying to look for special signs from God. God bless you!GCOGAPrayers: 17015Requests: 1287

October 1, 2021 at 9:55 pmHi DAB Brother Raymond. A change of career is a most difficult choice. I can remember my husband trying to figure out all the negatives and positives of each offer. He drew graphs, charts, listed every positive and negative aspect of each career change and yes salary was a huge one. So we chose together and yup we chose the wrong one!!! Not because of the charts, graphs, salaries… because we had no idea who he wud be working for. Simply choose, if you are not happy and can move on, then move on. It will all work out in time. There is no easy road, always a challenge. However I do believe God has preordained the perfect career for you. It’s just waiting so jump in and God bless you. Much love always DAB Bother.wuworking for! I – Inquire about opportunities that God opens up for us “What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open” (Revelation 3:7). The Lord may open up numerous opportunities for us to inquire about—even though many of them won’t work out. Many times there’s purpose in the plan that we don’t always know nor understand. Yet if we are willing to trust in God with all our hearts, He will direct us down the right paths in His perfect timing.

October 2, 2021 at 12:10 pmI’m in agreement with the Saints prayers. I would add one thing. It’s been my experience that the LORD leads with peace. Not only dose He watch over us (Psa. 32:8 NLT), — The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” But, Peace (that inward calm, and knowing, that settles, and reassures) is what I am learning to be on the look out for.
The (AMP) Bible says in (Col. 3:15) — “Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].” In the (KJV) version it says, “And let the peace of God rule your hearts.
In the Greek, the word (rule) “and I needed to look this up”, is (barbeuo) which was used in ancient times to describe the umpire or referee who officiated over athletic competitions. So what what Col. 3:15 is implying is , let the supernatural (shalom) or peace of God rule your hearts (as an umpire would). Who’s job it is, is to determine the correct outcome of a competition. The peace of God if allowed, and sought after can well up from deep inside of us and act as an umpire in our hearts, and minds, and in our emotions. Which in turn can help to lead us to making right choices.Something to ponder!
Blessings in your pursuit of His direction, and His shalom, and peace. In JESUS NAME. Amen!💓
