Hey DABers, the past four years of my life have been a rollercoaster. My world fell apart when I came to realize the Christianity I had grown up with was toxic and was being used to enslave people both mentally and spiritually. I was devastated and it led me away from wanting anything to do with Christianity. Over the past few years I have been everything from atheist to Buddhist to Pagan. But in the last week I felt called back to give the DAB another try. It has been helping me a lot. I feel connected to Jesus again, though I come at this from a more progressive view than before and probably view things differently than most people on here. But oh how I had missed Jesus and this community. I feel like I’ve come home.

Welcome back. Glad that you feel that your home again. I can relate to your journey. I myself have always been a seeker, I tried many different ideologies, and beliefs. There was a hole inside of me that I eventually found, could only be filled by the eternal presence of Jesus. Praise! God for His faithfulness to always be there waiting, gently drawing us to Himself.
The word Zion means a city on a hill. (Eph. 2:19-22) says,
19. “Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God:”
20. “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ the chief corner stone;”
21. ” In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an Holy temple in the Lord:”
22. “In whom ye are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.”Glory! stay connected. We all are part of His body, and we need one another. Welcome home!
