Dad Lost Job of 13 years Suddenly

Please pray. My dad lost his job of 13 years on Thursday. My parents were doing some aggressive payments on loans in order to get out of debt and also recently paid for two weddings. They were on track financially as long as my dad had a job. Now they only have enough in savings to last a month before payments have to start going on credit cards. Please pray for jobs for them both — and not just any jobs but places where God can really use their specific talents to serve.

Let them hear Your voice and be encouraged, comforted, strengthened and empowered to get gainful employment and handle their finances wisely. You provide. I praise You! Thank You for answering this prayer. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.
August 1, 2018 at 6:32 amFather, we lift this family to you for provision. We thank You for the provision that you have already provided – You are so good. We ask that during this trial this family join together in looking to You more for closer relationship to You and each other. Sometimes we never know this side of heaven the blessings that You have in store when we experience adversity. We join this family in putting our hand in Yours and trust You. Give us strong faith and help us to carve out time to meditate upon Your goodness and what You have in store. Help us resist the urge to follow the “world’s way” in seeking provision but to keep our eyes upon You. We wait upon You O Lord. In today’s reading, August 1, we read Psalm 25:1-15 as a prayer. It reminds us O Lord that You know our dilemma. Thank You for knowing all things. We love You.
