September 22, 2019 at 4:37 pmPlease pray for me to make the Godly and “right” decision regarding finances. People pleasing, impulse spending and maybe even an unconscious desire to have people like and love me have caused me to spend and spend and spend until I’m in debt. Unfortunately, the people I spend on (family) walk away from their responsibilities leaving me holding the note (literally and figuratively). Right now, I’m living in a motel; have loan and credit debt; have no transportation and am not sure how the motel bill will be paid this week. HOWEVER, I believe I am right where God wants me to be; I am employed, I can walk to work; I have (church) family that regularly offer to take me wherever I need to go. So I just need to know what “God’s will” is regarding my financial decisions? Which is what I’m asking prayer for… Also this week, I need and want to purchase resources for students in my classroom and I don’t have the $ to pay my motel bill; these things are pressing on my heart. Additionally, I live and work with a huge population of people that suffer with Bipolar Disorder, I ask for prayer to know how to pray effectively on their behalf and that God would speak to his church on how to minister (effectively) to this culture of the body of Christ. I’m a Special Ed. teacher and a Mental Health Counselor so helping my students be successful and seeing people healthy is very important to me; please pray for me. I can do “all things” through Christ who strengthens me.
God bless you D.A.B. immensely and immeasurably.

September 23, 2019 at 9:36 pmHeavenly Father, I stand before your holy altar in agreement with these prayers. I pray that you would guide your child in wise stewardship of the resources you have entrusted to them. I pray in particular that this child would seek wise counsel from the Consumer Credit Counseling Service regarding how to consolidate the debts, perhaps gain some loan forgiveness through the intervention of CCCS counselors, and structure a realistic repayment plan. Father, let this child find support for their faith and friends who can help with making good spending decisions. Father, I thank you for the dedication of this child to teaching and for their desire to serve you first. I pray that you would intervene in this life to rescue them from this debt, and then show them how to wisely manage the income you are providing. Let your servant learn that their relationship and personal mentoring of the students is more important than the additional things that they could purchase for the classroom. Bless this child for their honesty, their humility, and their commitment to excellence in the classroom.
