April 11, 2023 at 1:45 pmI ask myself, now that Easter is over: how would I maintain the discipline of Lent and all those teachings that fire me up for Easter 2023? So, Do you ever feel as though the fireplace in your heart has a diminished glow, as though the once warm fire has lost its warmth? This happens too often in our lives when we fail to fuel the fire. As wood fuels fire the word of God fuels us. In 2 Timothy 2 we see the evidence of Timothy’s waning excitement for the Lord. It happened to him and it happens to us. 2 Timothy 2:15 tells us to present ourselves approved to God. This is a daily thing. It requires us to stay in His word, realizing that there are those times we falter. We often compromise and let up. We often find days have escaped and we have not opened His word. The warmth we feel when we are close to Him only stays if we stay close to Him. Take a moment to thank Him for his never ceasing love for you. Take a moment to remember when He carried you through something and renew your opportunity to read, meditate and think on His words, be not ashamed but diligent in your daily quest to show yourself approved of His love for you. Remember P 3:5-6, be blessed by following it. Gods Chosen OneGA🙏🙏

April 11, 2023 at 2:55 pmTo set my heart on fire; or cause it to burn; or to arouse kindle; to catch fire; to begin to burn.” As I read the definition of Ignite I couldn’t help but try to apply a biblical definition of “Ignite.”God used fire to reveal His holiness to purify and cleanse His people in the Old Testament. I set myself apart during this Lenten season leading to Easter!!! I went after the lord and shut down all media and distractions so that my ears will not be clogged!!! I believe that it was because of this discipline that I was able to see clearly and very sincerely how God moved in my situation and showed Himself so strong and powerful to me as I waited. I want that experience to be my life. I do not want to go back to how I used to perceive things. I know that with the passing of each day; we are all drawing closer to “HOME”. That is where I long and want to be. I realize that If I want to get my passion back, I have to start hanging around with some people who are passionate about God—who are following God’s vision for their lives. Who are honest and original in their walk and service to the Father. Who love and live a life of humility who serve with a clean and pure heart; who do not hold any bitterness towards their neighbor; who forgive just as they were forgiven; who see others as themselves; who show compassion and kindness. When I do, God will begin to speak into my (our); lives; and give us His vision to live out, and bring back the enthusiasm that I or we once had during the time of our spiritual discipline. May God help us to finish well strong and faithful in Jesus mighty name 🙏🙏GCOGA 🙏🙏
