    my employer was paying me twice as much per hour. they never would have caught their error but I took the steps needed for correction remembering Proverbs 28:6 BETTER TO BE POOR AND HONEST THAN RICH & A CHEATER. So my next paycheck will be approx. $200 instead of $400 and that won’t cover mortgage or bills. my husband is a mean drunk, buying a 15 pack every other day or more. he goes into a rage over the fact that my paycheck is usually only $400 so I’m worried how things will be around here when my paycheck starting Feb 1 might only be half that.

    Dear Lord Jesus,
    Please be in the middle of this situation, be near to turn outcomes around, please help Jamie’s husband recognise the evil that exists. Please open his eyes clearly to it and let him understand the hurt and pain that is created through it. I pray his heart is broken through what you do Lord, please don’t let it remain hard. Please help in ways only you can, be a shield and protector, be the one that changes all things here. let there be a better day soon. Amen

    Father, protect Jamie and let her husband turn to You and be saved and healed. Fill them and their home with Your Holy Spirit. Evil, I cast you out of this man and their home in the Name of Jesus. Leave now! Jesus, rule and reign in their lives. There is a balm in Gilead! Peace to this couple. Be glorified! In Your Name I pray. Amen!

    Daddy God, I pray for protection and wisdom for Jamie. I pray that you would bring support from godly men and women who will walk alongside her through this trial in practical ways. Provide for her every need (financial, spiritual, safe housing, etc.). Help her to know how precious she is to You. I pray for her husband leave his hurtful, sinful ways. Take away his thirst for alcohol and replace it with a thirst for You Lord. Provide for Jamie in miraculous ways. Keep her safe Lord. In Jesus name and authority. Amen

    I agree with those prayers, Lord. Having come from an abusive alcoholic family I know the devastation that alcoholism brings: the alcoholic is not actively present when their drinking and they have no recollection of what happened either. So you lose the Present and the Past. It’s a terrible thing. And when the person is angry, like this husband, that stakes are even more dire. Please protect Jamie and help her protect herself. Let her not remain in his presence when he gets mean, help her prepare in advance for a safe place to go, and a small bag packed in advance. Lord, I pray she get connected with a recovery group like Celebrate Recovery so she can learn what is normal, acceptable and what she can and cannot control. Bless her for asking for prayer and help her gain new strength and Your wisdom.

    Dear Lord, comfort this family and show them the worth of one another and in Jesus Name cast out the evil spirit of addiction that may be trying to destroy her family. May the husband find peace in himself and release the negative effects of alcohol. Amen
