For so long I have been afraid of abandoning the faith but now that I have assurance that I cannot. I have been having fear about not being a true child of God. Would you pray for me and that I would have faith and assurance that God has me in his hands. Thank you! Please share if you have similar struggles
October 20, 2020 at 11:18 pmPraying for you. I have struggled with matters of faith and assurance of my faith. I don’t know if I have the words to speak into your specific situation but I trust our Lord to give you what you need. I have been clinging to these verses lately: Ephesians 2:8-10 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
October 21, 2020 at 1:34 amDear child of God. When i started my journey with the Lord. Many times, i would doubt His love for me. I had a real hard time believing that He could forgive me of so much sin that i had done. I honestly suffered for quite some time with condemnation and guilt. Even after i was born again. I doubted, and lived with unbelief. But, as time went on, and i grew in His grace, and in the knowledge of who He is. Things changed, and i was slowly able to believe the truth that He really loved me just the way i am. We all have been where you are right now, to one degree or another. The change comes with the more time that we spend with the Lord. And submit to Him, and to His Word.
You are His child And i call you that, because you are. If you’ve made Jesus Christ your Lord, and Savior. And have renounced your former ways of living. And your crucified with Him….Gal. 2:20, 2. “I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son Of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me”….. Then your in Him, and He’s in you.
Dear believer, salvation is a free gift. Eph. 2:8. It is by grace that we are saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. 9. Not works or (human effort), lest any man should boast. God, your loving heavenly Father. never takes back a gift that He’s given to you. Ro. 11:29, 29. “For the gifts and callings of God are without repentance”….. Salvation is His free gift to you. He will never take it back…. Your His child, He loves you with an eternal, love. He will never let anything, or any one take you out of His hands.
Abba, draw close to you beloved, and reassure Ireen, that You have got her in your strong, and loving hands. And that as You’ve promised, You will never, ever leave her, nor forsake her. She is the apple of Your eye. And Your prized possession. Lord, in Your loving way, make this truths real to her. Help her unbelief.
