December 29, 2020 at 1:53 amDearest Kailageiger115, We are living in the New Testament; New Covenant. Jesus paid all our sins on the Cross. Many times we humans think God speaks to us directly. My friend, God speaks to us through His Word. Thank you Father God for your Word. “Seek the Kingdom of God* above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” ~Matthew 6:33. I encourage you to find friends who display Christ-like ways of living. Maybe, a home church. “We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps.” ~Proverbs 16:9. I pray for direction upon your journey. In Jesus Name…Amene✨Blessings

December 30, 2020 at 12:39 amAmen! God’s Holy Word is just that. It’s His voice written down for us to read. The Bible is so much more than just another book. God is a Spirit. And the Words in the Bible are Spirit inspired. The Holy Spirit of old, impressed on the writers of the Bible to put down in writing, what the God inspired them to write. We should approach His Word as if it’s God speaking directly to us. He will speak to us in other ways. But, His Word is the number one way we hear from our Father.
Dear Kaila, make sure you pray each time you open God’s Word, and ask that He speak to you. Allow the Holy Spirit room to speak to your heart as you read, Remember, God’s Word is active, and alive. When He speaks, it’s usually not with the volume of a human voice. Not that He can’t speak to us that way if He decides to. it’s usually more of an unction, or a knowing on the inside. Down in your belly, right below your heart. That’s where our spirit resides. Our spirit is referred to in the Bible as the candle of the Lord. It’s through our spirit He will lead us. It’s called being lead by the inward witness. Or, another way He speaks to us is. The Holy Spirit, Who is also God, will impress something in your thoughts. In your mind You’ll suddenly have a understanding concerning something, that you didn’t have before.
I remember when I was young in the Lord, and I wanted to hear His voice. I wasn’t having much success at hearing Him. Then one day, I went to pay one of my employees. And I was just starting my painting business, and there was more money going out, than was coming in. And the money I needed to by a new set of tires for my work van just wasn’t there. So, on the way up the sidewalk to pay Fred, I was grumbling to the Lord, (which really isn’t a greatest’s of ideas), about how I needed more money coming in. So I begrudgingly paid Fred, and started walking back to the van, and happened to glance down at my worn out tires and said something to the Lord to the affect. And I don’t even have enough to buy any tires. That’s when I heard the Lord loud, and clear on the inside of me, STOP LOOKING AT THE THINGS YOU DON’T HAVE! He said it with a firmness, that I’ll never forget to this day. Needless to say, I was convicted. And from that day forward, I’ve payed greater attention to my word coming out of my mouth. The point is, Just enjoy the journey. Expect to learn to hear His voice as time goes on. If He ever wants to make sure that you hear Him, He will make His presence known. Trust me I know.
After you have been seeking him for awhile. It will be easier to discern when He gives you something. Don’t get hung up on trying to hear Him in just one way either. Just be open, as you spend time fellowshipping with Him around His Word, or in prayer. The scripture dose tell us to be still. and know that He is God. Guaranteed, the more time that you commit to spending quality time with the One who knows you best. The more your going to hear Him speak.
One other thing. God doesn’t like to be put in a box. So expect the un expected. He always has a way of surprising us. We need to remember, that we are His children, or His kids. He enjoys having fun with us, just like we enjoy having fun with our children.
Abba, reveal Yourself to Kaila, speak to her. Help her to discern when, and how You are choosing to speak to her. Wether it be through Your Word, or by the still small voice. Or in any other manner that You chose. Make it clear to her that it is You that’s speaking. She desires intimacy with You Father. Draw her close to Your heart. Gracious Father, You’ve promised, that when we seek You with all of our heart, we would find You. Bless Kaila Father, in the seeking. May she come to hear, and recognize Your voice. We ask, in Jesus name. Amen! 💓
