For my studies and teaching

    Hi everyone,

    I have been listening for about a year but haven’t yet participated in the community.

    Right now I am studying in Argentina (I am from the U.S.) for my a diploma in teaching English as a Second Language and it’s a really challenging course. Even though I have been teaching for many years, I have failed my first lessons and assignments. It’s easy for me to think negatively and I’m starting to believe that maybe I shouldn’t be a teacher at all — but I really believe God has called me to this work and to this place, but I struggle to believe I can be a good and effective teacher, and now I am struggling with motivation to do my assignments since I feel so hopeless. Please pray that God’s purpose in this time would be realized for me.

    Dear Sarah,

    Your name alone gives me hope! Sarah in the Bible had almost lost hope about ever having a child ! In her unbelief and hopeless state she let Abraham have a son by her maid servant yet God had clearly told her and Abraham that they would be blessed with your son .

    In your case , God has put a dream in your heart of being a teacher , things at the moment don’t seem to be working in your favor and hence the feeling of hopelessness.

    I would urge you not to give up !! You have a ” child of promise that will soon be birthed ” if ONLY you trust in God’s promises .
    I pray that the Lord gives you favor with your studies ! May he open your mind to grasp as much concepts as possible so as to equip you for your job.ask the Lord to forgive you for any doubt and renew the hope in you .He loves you very much!!!!

    God is good and more than able . Have Hope and the assurance that He who started a good work in you will not leave you on your own.

    Praying for you Sarah. Take heart to “shella.tolson” Her suggestion resonates with mine and I’m sure others.
    Remember God told Abraham to go to Relocate. AND he did. AND then God moved. (as also when he asked Lot to separate) Believe in the desire God put in your heart.

    I believe He is preparing you to be a teacher so that you can develop the understanding to share and perhaps explain His Word to others. You ( We All ) have a higher calling.
