Hi Karen! Congrats on your obedience with finishing your book! Way to go!!! I’ve been procrastinating about writing my book(s) for years. Ugh. You did it!!! Praise the Lord!!

I totally understand about your call to obedience. God had me do that for a year- only working part-time. It was a walk of faith and it humbled me. His plans for me were good. He wanted to teach me His Word with lots of one-on-one time and lots of Bible study. I was immersed in His Word and He was my teacher. Rockin’!! It was totally awesome but difficult because most didn’t believe or understand, but I trusted God. He was faithful. He provided. Then one day as it was just about coming up on a year, I asked Him what He was preparing me for and the answer came. I’ll never forget the day…it was on a Sunday after church, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I believe. I was at a pizza place having lunch when He told me He was preparing me to be a teacher. I was so excited! As a young child I enjoyed playing teacher. My grandmother was an amazing teacher at a Christian Preschool and the Director, too. I learned a lot from her and wanted to be a teacher myself, but it never worked out until I applied for a Elementary School Teaching position at a private Christian school. I walked in for the interview and felt totally comfortable- it felt like I belonged. I was hired to teach Advanced Kindergarten. It was incredible!! My first class had 27 students which included a set of quintuplets. The Shier Quints. God prepared me and used me to love and teach those children. I always remember telling them that God called me to be their teacher and that He was going to use me to teach us all. And He did. It was such a blessing and so much fun! We all had a blast!! Praise Him!!! Anyway, all that to say I understand trusting God and obeying His call. I’m happy to pray for you.

Father, thank You for Karen. Thank You for calling her to trust You, to write this book and to rest in You and trust that You provide. You do provide and Your plans for her are good. I ask You to bring the right publisher into her life. Let them publish her book and let it bring You glory. I thank You for bringing it about in Your perfect timing. Keep giving Karen ears to hear You and a heart to obey. Encourage her. And I ask the same for myself…ears to hear, a heart to obey and courage to go where You lead and do as You say. Help me write the book You put on my heart. Do it all for Your glory and the good of many!! Have Your way! Lifting up Karen to You. Keeping my eyes on You, Jesus. I pray all this in Your strong and mighty Name. Amen.

Karen, have already had someone proofread it? I’ve done a lot of proofreading/editing for books, materials and such. It’s something I enjoy. Let me know if you’d like my help.
