June 9, 2023 at 1:41 pmGod has been so good to me this past week. He made a way for me to get an award that I had no idea I was getting. He has gotten me to the next stage of a scholarship screening that could change my life and he has continuously protected, blessed and provided for my family.
On the other hand, I have opened the door to the devil in the name of entertainment and fallen into the traps I helped lay for myself.
I have learnt many things about myself over the past few months that has helped me draw closer to God and yet I still make room for worldliness in my life which inevitably leads me to sin and despair.
.
Today my father mentioned the fact that I don’t pray ‘salat’ anymore. I know that he knows that I’m not a Muslim but as long as I don’t say that I’m a Christian, there’s no major conflict.
I love God more than anything which is why I haven’t succumbed to the pressure of just returning back to fully practicing the religion.I’ve starred praying to God for a Christ loving community of women who I can do life with. The fear of being ‘exposed’ has kept me from seeking out people in this way and the Christianity I see in many ‘christians’ around me doesn’t align with what I believe God has revealed to me.
It hasn’t been an easy journey and I can tell that the devil is trying to attack me at this turning point of my life. Please pray for me. I need all the prayers I can get 🙏🏾

June 9, 2023 at 3:06 pmDearest AV; Congratulations on receiving the award. “How can a person who claims to be saved live a lifestyle that is against God’s teaching and call himself saved? I mean, there are Scriptures that you have mentioned and others that I have read that show how a righteous person should live. Despite the fact that Jesus died on the cross for our sins, doesn’t give people the right to live any way they choose.” Thank you for bringing these points to our attention. We can all learn some valuable insight concerning “loose living” in the lives of Christians. Unquestionably, there is much inconsistent living among many Christians—some more so than others, but inconsistent living nonetheless. We talk about “grace,” but we are not always gracious. We speak of “holiness,” but we do not always separate ourselves unto God’s Word and will. We talk about “Jesus Christ,” but we often exhibit the actions of Adam. We speak of “truth,” but we often behave according to error. The world has seen the lives of many so-called “Christians” and scoffs, “Look at all those hypocrites in the church! I want no part of that ‘Jesus Christ’ they serve!” A dear friend in the ministry once expressed it this way: “The Devil does not have to bash the name of Jesus Christ—‘Christians’ do that already!” Beloved, it is a sad commentary indeed. We need to turn to the Scriptures and let God’s Word enable us to correct our thinking and modify our behavior. God will reward you for your love for him. Keep pressing on! I continue to pray for you and family! 🙏🏻❤️🕊

June 9, 2023 at 6:06 pmHoly Father, please bless AV and protect her from the people who may not understand her love for You. Please, Lord, if possible, help her to find other Christians that will help her on this journey. We are praying for strength to withstand the temptation she is fighting.

Thank you @spiritdoc1
I have had an experience with a Christian guy who laughed at me when I said that I want to pursue sexual purity. My experience has given me the opportunity to know God from God, not so much from people. I guess that’s part of the difference.goingupsoonPrayers: 20097Requests: 1132
June 10, 2023 at 6:00 pmSister Av, some of the best learned lessons that the LORD has ever taught me came out of seasons where I was missing the mark in some way. And I was embroiled in some type of sin, and torn on the inside as to how to not only get free, but how to remain free. One thing I learned is God is a forgiving God. And like His WORD says, He doesn’t hold our sins against us. God knows that we are not perfect beings, and that we will from time to time fall into the quicksand and mier of Satan influenced, purposely directed,– temptation. Its during those times that we need to make sure we don’t get caught up in self-condemnation. It’s easy to want to wallow around in self pity. And this is exactly where the devil wants us. The devil wants us to think that we are beyond forgiving. And that we’ve fallen so far that God has given up on us. This is so not true! And is the farthest thing from the truth. The truth is that God’s love for us is so far beyond anything that we could ever imagine. His love for us is so deep that He went to the extremes of sending His own precious Son to die on a cross for our sins. So when we find ourselves headed down the road of self absorption, and the place of feeling sorry for ourselves, we would be wise if we pulled ourselves up by our bootstraps, and did what the Bible teaches. That is to simply, repent of our sin, and ask for God’s forgiveness. Then believe that he hears our prayer, and is going to do what He said He will do. That is, He will forgive us our sins and cleans us from (all) unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). If we will allow ourselves the grace when we are going through a rough patch, to purposely reflect on the goodness of God, we can learn a tremendous amount about God’s character, and how much He truly loves us. Some lessons in life are best learned when we are dealing with conflict. One thing that I’ve learned and am still learning is that God is a forgiving God. And that He’s faithful to help us to live a victorious life if we will let Him. I can only imagine what it must be like to live where you live sister Av, and to have to hide your belief in JESUS out of fear of experiencing severe persecution. We in America are a little spoiled in this regard. I pray for you often that God would continue to protect you. And that He would use you to be instrumental in leading many in you city to the good news that JESUS saves. I pray that the Holy Spirit🕊 would melt the hearts of your father and mother – siblings “if you have any,”. And that they too would come to know the joy of being saved. LORD, we join in praying for Your beloved daughter Av. Send her some like-minded woman who she can fellowship with. May they have a safe place to meet, and favor in the community. We pray Av continues to grow in the ways of our LORD. May she be a shining beacon of hope to those around her…
LORD, we ask, in the precious and mighty Name of JESUS. Amen! ❤

June 10, 2023 at 7:35 pmI am so blessed to be here surrounded by a community of loving Christians. I do not ever want to take for granted how significant this is for me.
@goingupsoon There is definitely always a temptation to wallow in self-pity and I have seen that when I instead run to God, He graciously teaches me something new.I do not want to paint a dire picture of my situation because I know many people have it way worse. I’m not in any imminent danger, though there is a real fear of disownment and family separation.
Regardless, I am grateful that I can even come on here and share my life like this.
Amen to all your prayers 🙏🏾

June 11, 2023 at 4:25 amGracious and loving God,
We come before you in prayer, interceding for AV, who is struggling with relationships. We ask for your guidance, comfort, and healing in their journey. Help them navigate the complexities of human connections and find strength in you.
Lord, we also lift up those who have wronged AV, as well as those whom AV may have wronged. We ask for forgiveness and reconciliation in these relationships. Grant them your divine forgiveness and help AV extend forgiveness and seek reconciliation towards others. May your grace abound in these interactions.
We bring to you the faithful love described in James 4:8, which encourages believers to draw near to you, knowing that you eagerly draw near to them. Show AV your steadfast love and presence, as they seek to mend, restore and develop new relationships.
Thank you for your restorative mercy, as emphasized in James 4:8. As AV humbles themselves before you, we ask for your forgiveness and restoration in their relationships. Heal the wounds, mend the brokenness, and bring about reconciliation and peace.
We seek your divine response and revelation, as mentioned in James 4:8 and Matthew 5:8. As AV draws near to you, may they experience your presence, encounter your truth, and receive divine guidance in their relationships. Grant them the wisdom and discernment for finding relationships with grace and compassion.
In the spirit of renewal, we invoke the transforming grace found in Matthew 15:8-9, James 4:8, and Mark 11:25. May AV worship you and pray with sincerity and experience heart transformation. Renew their hearts, minds, and attitudes, so that they may extend grace, forgiveness, and reconciliation to others.
Lord, we acknowledge your unconditional love, as highlighted in James 4:8. Your love knows no bounds and extends to all who seek you. Shower AV with your unconditional love and help them reflect that love in their relationships. Teach them to love as you love, unconditionally and sacrificially.
Grant AV strength, courage, and wisdom as they navigate the challenges of relationships. Help them grow in humility, forgiveness, and understanding. May they be a vessel of your love and grace, bringing healing and reconciliation to relationships. We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, who demonstrated perfect love and forgiveness on the cross. Amen.
