Oh Lord, how quickly we find ourselves doing that which You have not commanded. I confess that I look upon the world and decide that I know the best course of action without considering or consulting You. I don’t want to act without considering Your ways first, but no matter how I try, I find myself stumbling over the same road block. I ask that You make straight the way of the Lord. Not only for me, but for all of us so that it may no longer be us who live, but Christ in us. Come into our hearts, our minds, and our bodies, Jesus. Transform us from inside out and shine Your light to the world through Your church—your body of believers. May we be Your light on a mountain that cannot be hidden. Help the lost find their way back home. We pray this in the almighty name of Jesus. Amen.
