Father God we come to you today and ask for you to pour your love and mighty strength over this person. To give them the strength to get out of bed and to start taking steps forward. We Ask that you fill their heart up with the will power to stop the sugar binge. Further more God we ask that you send an army of angels to protect these little children who’s father is a drug and alcohol addict. I pray that the rage leaves this mans body immediately and is replaced with the loving Holy Spirit. I pray this all in your sons name. Jesus Christ.

Praying with the others for you…God is FAITHFUL and will bring you through this. You are LOVED!

Father, You always want our best, and give us the Holy Spirit to bring us into the truth of what that is. You promise victory over areas that are seemingly impossible, for in You we will find victory. God, I pray that You would direct this man’s attention to taking the first step in asking You what he has to be grateful for – what ever that may be, Lord, I pray that You would bless him in that place of thankfulness, and that You would bring in to his mind songs of joy, Your promises, a memory of a precious time that would remind him how precious e is to You. And, Lord, bring the right people into his life. Thank You for never leaving him at this time. I praise You for calling those things that are not as though they are, Lord, restoring his faith, lifting his spirits, lifting his chin to see You is my prayer in Jesus name, amen.

Take one moment at a time, my friend. Spend a little time in the word yourself – Psalms 3:3 comes to mind, and just let God minister to you through this verse. Turn the TV off, find some uplifting music, soothing music, that will lift your thoughts.

Just wanted to say when I didnt feel able to pray because of what was happening in my life I still was able to listen to and slowly join in worship. Find new songs, I just found a new band (not new for many i am sure) called I AM THEY – joyful music and would really recommend. Remember lazaras, all the people had to do in the hopeless situation was role back the stone and God did the impossible. So do the little you are able even if it is to commit to listening to DAB, then look and see your mighty God is at work!

I want to assure you even in the midst of hopeless there is hope. The hope you have is in the person of Jesus. What preachers or prophets are listening too? Beware of many false prophets. Look to Jesus and His holy word. God has given us wise counselors to help. Satan is whispering a lie if you think they cannot help. Seek out a counselor that is strong in biblical understanding. Also go to your medical physician to see if some medication can help. It has helped me. Since my retirement from ministry due to health I became depressed. You need to rise from that bed with the help of God to live again. Lose your life to find it. Begin to take responsibility for your life. I know Satan is out to kill and destroy, Sometimes we give him to much credit. God loves and wants you live life to the full. Rise and begin to take the necessary steps of faith to bring healing and wholeness to you life. I ma so sorry about what happened in you life. You do not have to be a victim. I will be praying for your son and a renewal of relationship. Google Teen Challenge a biblical based recovery program for addicts. They do work with adults. It is a long term residential program. Know that I am praying for you. Have you talked with you pastor about counseling? I can name some of the false prophets and teachers.

Friend, please know the Lord is with you right now, even if you don’t “feel,” it right where you are, in this moment, know it; I hope that makes sense. I’m so sorry, so sorry and sad for your troubles…know that,” He will rescue you from the fowler’s snare.” I and so many beautiful and amazing brothers and sisters are joining voices, hearts and spirits to carry your burdens to the Lord. They have been praying for me and I know will continue and now, I join my spirit and pray for you. The weight of this world can get so heavy and we pray and pray and don’t see anything change around us, right? (I wrote in a similar prayer request just a few days ago; praying for the same people and same bad situations for 15+ years and nothing/no one seems to change)
But give yourself credit for this; you took this step and shared your burden and now the change is happening within you. Again, I want to encourage you to believe it is happening, even in the moments that you don’t feel it; that said, there will be moments when you DO feel it. I felt the presence of God when I read the responses to my request. I felt His love through our family in Christ.
You are SO loved by God and any follower of Christ who sees or hears your request, your plea, will be faithful and joyfully take your cries to the Lord. Please as an act of faith, go outside today…take one more step of faith and I’ll believe with you that God will give you a glimpse of something new; a spark of hope to thrust you forward to the next step.
You are loved by the God who created you.
Also, please don’t give up on counseling; I totally get what you’re saying; I had a period wherein I was just sick of trying…but it is soooo necessary and helpful so I encourage you not to give up on this…it takes time but we have to commit to the “process” as it is a journey. Another resource I find very helpful is Al-anon…what a blessing this group is and I believe can be to you…in fact, I bet you’ll become a major blessing to others in that group. The wonderful thing about Al-anon is that most of the people there are open already to surrendering to a “Higher power” and when you’re ready, you’ll be able to introduce them to yours!
