DAB FAMILY, Last week my husband asked me for a divorce. This time he will not answer my phone calls, he’s not talking to me, he’s not texting me in any way that is reflective of being married. We got into a very bad fight on September 3 while on a vacation and he hasn’t wanted anything to do with me since. I feel like his soul and heart are in the grasp of the enemy because normally he would apologize and ask forgiveness and repent and come back to our marriage or at least discuss the fight. Our marriage has been very tough over the last seven years and seven months and there’s been toxic behaviors from both of us with the spirit of anger taking over at times. We also live apart in different states which doesn’t allow for any daily interaction. I recently was baptized and saved on 31 July 2022 to serve God and for my husband to have a Godly wife. I’m about to retire from active duty and we had plans for me to move with him and just be his wife and support his career but now my life may be turned up side down if he follows through with a divorce. I have known him to be a Christian and abide in Gods truth but he seems long gone on this walk now with God due to the way he has just cut me off from his life. He says he loves and respects himself to not want an unhealthy or toxic relationship but is not willing to do the work to not have that life. I feel like he is blaming me for our troubles in this area and I am trying to trust God to work on softening his heart and asking the Holy Spirit to do His work on my husbands soul. I’m asking for prayers from my brothers and sisters in Christ to have the Holy Spirit speak truth to my husband about our marriage and the covenant we made as well as help both of us to work on controlling our anger emotions and just submit ourselves fully to Christ and God as well as put God first in our marriage to serve one another. I also ask for prayers for the fruits of the Holy Spirit to overtake our marriage so that we can live in peace and harmony with one another and abide in Christ. In Jesus Name, I ask for you to join me in denouncing and rebuking the evil spirits of fear, anger, resentment, blame, I forgiveness, contempt, mistrust, and any other lies from the enemy in my husbands heart, mind, and soul. I ask for you to help my husband take back any authority he has given to these spirits and COMMAND THE ENEMY TO LEAVE HIM and our marriage. I ask for you to help me pray for the Fathers blessings to fill my husband with the spirits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control and place these fruits back into our marriage for a renewed and reconciled marriage.
