Lord Jesus, I ask that you would touch Matthew with your healing power. Give Matthew and the doctors wisdom to know the best things to use, to eat, to do in order to heal. I pray peace over him, his wife and his mother, that they would trust that you are in control. I pray that you draw them close to you through this uncertain time. In your precious name. Amen

Amen! Yes, Lord, we humbly ask for Your healing touch upon Matthew. Please restore him to full health and vigor. Help him through the treatments. Encourage and bless him and his family.

Brother Mike: My dear brother in law died in January from this same cancer. It had already metastasized by the time he was diagnosed. From diagnosis until the Lord called him home was nearly 3 years, which included 2 rounds of chemo, radiation, and a significant change of nutrition. I pray this is NOT the same path for your friend.

It’s a difficult cancer because it’s not one that is routinely tested for and it’s internal, so not easy to spot early on. While we pray for Matthew, fully trusting that God can heal him, I charge you, as his friend, to encourage him to get all of his end of life paperwork and arrangements in order. We pray he doesn’t need them for many years yet.
