August 20, 2016 at 1:56 pmSaid a prayer for you this morning. It is something you have to completely give over to God. My husband is an alcoholic, he now has Alzheimer’s and the doctors think the alcohol contributed to it. First step is you want to quit. Give it to Jesus and stay in your Bible. God Bless

August 24, 2016 at 4:23 amI am sorry that you want to stop and are unable. I have a similar difficulty and when I feel bad about things going on in my life and even inside me, I feel helpless and don’t know how to deal with my feelings so I choose to drink. I know Jesus really loves me and doesn’t move away when I am in those places, but I don’t know how to open up to Him and let Him come and meet with me, so I am the one who moves away. I want to know Him in those places because I know that He knows me there, it just seems to be a matter of all of me not wanting Him and being able to really trust Him. I am thankful that He helps me believe in the reality of His Love, even though I can’t see it, and maybe that is a place to start? This morning as I listened to the reading of Job it seemed to speak about what I often feel about why all the bad things happen to me and in me and I wonder how you felt when you listened. Surely God is able to do something in us through our listening to His Word, even if we don’t understand. I know that many people will now be praying for you and maybe the Holy Spirit will give you a recognizable strength to draw nearer to Jesus and He will help you be able to let go of whatever you have been unable to let go of so you can reach out for Him more. It helps me in my heart when I hear Brian say “I love you” almost every day – I rarely hear anyone say it, even though I know that God is saying it to me in every breath and heart beat. So I want to say to you that I love you, because Jesus loves you with a fierce, unbelievable love, and I will hope for both of us that He will reveal His love to us more and that we will be irresistibly drawn to Him instead of to another drink – that we will be able to get lost in Him instead of in the effects of alcohol. If you ever need someone to communicate with, my email address is YHVH17@yahoo.com.

August 27, 2016 at 5:07 pmYou are loved by the Lord, the Spirit, and by the Body much more than you can ever imagine. The devil walks this earth putting on us every kind of disease, addiction, and tribulation that he can. But whatever challenge the devil strikes you with, it does not change the fact that you are a beloved child of God. And this addiction you face – we (the Body) are all facing it with you. Whether you can overcome it or not, we are still with you and love you unconditionally. And you are still a part of us, (the Body) as well. Nothing will ever ever change that. So rest in that peace, and just continue to battle it the best you can.

August 27, 2016 at 9:58 pmJust keep in mind He sets you free not your willpower just lay it at his feet every minute of the day and you will walk in victory out of the prison you made for yourself. Remember the cross!
