January 20, 2018 at 9:31 amWe have six children, and number five is our daughter, Savannah. She was diagnosed with epilepsy in 4th grade, and now is 21 years old and a senior in college. During her first year of college, she got the stomach flu, which resulted in her not taking her seizure meds for 2 days. She had back to back breakthrough seizures alone in her dorm room, and when we found her she was delirious. In the hospital we slowly realized that something had happened to her brain. She had lost over 5 years of her memory. She couldn’t remember high school, graduation, her work, friends, NOTHING! Within a month she was back on campus trying to relearn everything. She is now a senior, and feels like a sophomore, still trying to discern her future plans. She is confused, scared, and grieving the loss of such a huge part of her life. Now she is going through a break up with the only person who has walked by her side through this whole ordeal. She has begun counseling, which we are hopeful for some direction in how to best help her. She needs prayers for peace in her heart. She has a strong faith, is the most resilient person I know, and such a kindhearted, loving girl. She needs friends who understand and will be patient when she is repetitive (her short term memory has been affected as well). We know she will never regain what has been lost, but she needs to realize that new memories are being made every day, and for that we need to be thankful. Thanks you so much for your prayers for our sweet Savannah.

January 20, 2018 at 10:41 amDear Savior, I pray you will reveal Yourself to Savannah. You love her with a great love. You have a perfect plan. I am so sad about what she went thru. You know the pain and walk thru it too. I am sad a friend has left her. You will never leave. I pray for new friends and new Hope. A clear vision of serving You. Open doors for her where she would never have dreamed. Make a way where there seems to be no way. Be her comfort. Help her in her studies. In Jesus name

January 20, 2018 at 1:26 pmLord, I pray right now for a total healing of Savannah’s issues, if that is your will. If not at this time, I lift her up to you for healing in your time. Give her the best doctors and the best treatments available. Wrap your loving arms around her and her family to remind them you are walking with them through this valley, and when they come out on the other side they will be able to help other that will be facing the same challenges. Thank you for giving Savannah such a loving family and wonderful friends. You, God, are seldom early but never late!
