Dear Fellow Daily Audio Bible Followers,
Today, my husband, John, is speaking to his supervisor concerning a promotion. He desire to be the Manufacturing Director of the company he works. He feels that is is well qualified for this position and has been working for this company for forty-three years, Consequently, he understands many levels of the internal workings of his employer.
I am attempting to replace my fear with faith. Because John has been in the industry for so long, there are not other employees who have the “tribal knowledge” that he has. There just are not manuals written for the knowledge is has acquired and practiced over the forty-three years which is why people and companies, who have been in the industry over twenty-five years, consult with him all the time. This has made him very valuable, in his current position with the company. Additionally, when the company has attempted, several times, to ask for volunteers and mandate employees to receive training for what my husband knows, it has not been successful because for the most part, the information is so complex and specific that it is above understanding of most employees knowledge, experience and training.
Now you see the dilemma. Never-the-less, my husband believes that he will have a greater impact as a Manufacturing Director, by making sure customers get the best and safest biomedical equipment and software in the world.
