Hello DAB Family: I have found the DAB some four years ago when I was suffering from severe depression from the break-up of a relationship. I was too embarrassed to call then when so many others had such real concerns and I felt my problems were not worthy. However with faithful listening and praying for you all, you helped me through some of the darkest times of my life. I am better now.
But I now know that I need your prayers for my son Jacob. Too make a long story short, my son’s mother and I are divorced. Last April, I picked him up from his friends house and he was so full of different drugs that he got sick in my bathroom. With on-going problems and no communication with his mother, I took him to another city where my family lives. I almost went to jail as the family court judge and his mother was very up-set but I felt I had to do what I did to save his life. His mother was being too much of a friend and not enough of a parent and more interested in her social life then to get my son the help he needed. I soon moved too and we got him the help he needs. He is in a good school, seeing a therapist and has a good job. Still smoking some marijuana but off the really bad stuff that could kill him. Still struggling with the challenges that a teenager encounters but doing so much better then he was. The problem is, that he has now decided to give this all up and move back to where he was. He will drop out of high-school and fall back with the very same crowd and problems that almost killed him before. I know that sometimes you have to let your children go to find their own way but what he is going back to is really bad. Please pray for him and that God’s will to be done.

Jacob’s dadJanuary 13, 2017 at 8:00 pmMy heart is with yours Todd. I pray for Jacob and I pray for his mother that they find peace in their lives that will bring them back to the love that is needed to survive in this word.
Lord God, thank you for Todd. Thank you for this child of yours, this man of God, and this brother in Christ. We ask that you be with him and Jacob. I pray that Jacob will be able to shake the temptations of the flesh like I do and remove himself from desires. Instead, let him be the beacon of light you made him to be so that others can see where life went wrong and how it can go right if we choose to fellowship with you. I pray for strength and wisdom for Todd. Let his faith in you be an example to Jacob and others.
Father protect this family. Giving them healing and grace. Provide them hope that this struggle with help them discover the beauty that is in You father.
I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

The weight of this situation is very heavy and only the blood the blood of Jesus can set Captives free . Please let us join our faith and be in agreement as we make our petition to the great High priest.
Dear Lord God,
We thank you for the children that you bless us with . Even when they go astray you still love them and have compassion over them .
We have been learning about Jacob the great biblical figure whose name later become Israel. Lord you blessed Jacob and through Jacob we now are the children of promise .
Look at this young man whom the dad rightfully named Jacob , please transform his mind , thoughts and his entire being . Remove the veil that is obscuring his vision . Open his eyes so he may see that the path he is on only leads to destruction. Soften his heart and remind him that his dad loves him so much!!!
Lord when a man asks for prayers I take it very seriously!! Men by nature fix problems but in this case Jacob’s dad knows the one who can fix ALL PROBLEMS! And that is you Lord !! otherwise Jacob’s dad would not not bother asking for prayers .
Have mercy on this family oh Lord . Destroy the enemy’s work that has been at the work causing strife and pain in this family . I plead the blood of Jesus over this family ! I speak sanctification, redemption, and freedom for this family . May your good and perfect will be done . Thank you Lord Jesus for what you have already started doing in the spiritual realm.

I’m glad you are inviting us to pray for Jacob, you and Jacob’s mother. Lord, we know that you love us. You love us through it all. Through the times we turn away to follow our own desires, when we don’t love ourselves, Father you are unfailing. We praise you and thank you for each and every breath we take. Today Lord we hold this family up to you. We ask according to your will, you heal each broken place in the hearts of each member. In Jesus name we ask for the addiction to be gone. Lord we ask you to surround Jacob with your protection and according to your will bring people who will influence him in your name. We ask him to honor his father and his mother on earth and that you strengthen each of both of them so that they may be of service to their son and yours. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
