I love my wife and I’ve caused her much pain in our marriage. I’ve neglected her and our daughter. I’ve been without God in our marriage. I’ve tried too long to get it figured out in my own and as you could imagine it hasn’t worked out well for me. It has caused nothing but pain for my wife, who has truly been an amazing wife, living a Christian life and raising our daughter splendidly. I’ve tried to invite God into my heart in the past but they were half-hearted, not true to myself. I’ve lied to my wife about countless things, I’ve suffered depression and thoughts of suicide our entire marriage. I’ve struggled with addictions to pornography and video games which has caused me to neglect my loving wife and daughter. In my weakest moment when nearly committing suicide the week my wife told me she wanted a divorce begged God to show me a sign, knowing that I was going to need him to get me through this. He came to me in a dream, and showed me that he was there listening. It truly has opened my eyes in a new light. I just pray that God gives me a chance to prove to my wife that I love her and that with God in my heart I can beat my addictions, I can beat my depression, and I can love her as God commands, as Christ loved the Church and through his sacrifice as Jesus loves her. Please Lord provide me with the strength I need, to take action and control over the demons that have plagued my mind.
