March 26, 2023 at 1:08 pm7 months ago I discovered by classroom assistant is a victim of sex trafficking. My husband and I took her in and have done all we can to keep her safe and help her heal. However, due to a lifetime of abuse, she also has dissociative identity disorder and faces regular trauma triggers. My husband’s name is a trigger, as a major abuser her whole life has the same name, so no matter what she cannot handle being around him. My house of 4 kids is always noisy, so she could never rest. She reached the point that she could not stand to be in my house, but she is not safe alone. Keeping her safe meant leaving my family for a time. Several people have criticized me for causing so much suffering for my family by not being around. They tell me my friend can either choose to stay at my house or choose not to, but they don’t realize she literally had no other safe place to go, and she is nearly always brutally attacked when she is alone.
She just got an apartment near my house, but she still cannot be alone, and she cannot be at my house. My family needs me, but no one is offering to help keep my friend safe.
Please pray for people to step into her life, people she can trust who will genuinely care about her, about her healing and her safety. Please pray that we will find a way to stop those who are abusing my friend and many other women. Pray for healing in my family, as all relationships are very strained and breaking. How do I care for my family and also care for a friend who needs a whole community to support her? I need wisdom, help, and a community of people who are willing to step forward and fight against evil. Please, please pray.

March 26, 2023 at 2:08 pmDear Father, thank you that there is no pain and perilous situation you are not aware of and concerned about, including this one. Thank you for the people and structures you have in place to support Ms Garrett’s friend. We pray for the time and developments that needed to happen for them to be activated. We pray for you to reveal this plan this week once the police report is filed. We pray for healing I the victim as well as the willing servant who stepped in. May we as a community marvel with Ms Garret, at Your compassion and provision through existing victim organisation’s and state funded programs, which you caused to exist.

March 26, 2023 at 4:01 pmYes and Amen. Holy Spirit we praise You for Mrs. Garret’s obedience to help the widowed, orphaned and abused. We thank You that You are always acutely aware of our needs, and making a way so that Your perfect will shall come to fruition according to Your plan and Your timing. Help us to cover to the victims and caregivers of those who have been taken hostage and used against their will and leveraged for the evil one’s assignment. May they come to know the love of Christ as they are rescued and cared for. May salvation come to Mrs. Garrett’s ‘foster’ and household as they grow in Your grace. In Jesus Name, let it be so. Don’t lose ❤️, Your Helper has a plan and it is good.
