January 13, 2020 at 5:44 pmFirst of all, thankful I can post here (and will make a point to pray over others here as well). Found out about two half sisters through ancestry.com 1.5 years ago due to my dna; one my dad knew about and one he did not. He left behind a crazy past when he became a Christian. He had three kids with my mom including me, and they’ve been married over 40 years. We kids are all over 30. None of us three kids knew about other siblings. This has brought chaotic drama to our already somewhat dysfunctional family (brother needs Jesus and is an alcoholic – sister is bipolar). Prayers please for my dad to be led by the Holy Spirit to bring peace and unity to all of this. He has his own health issues and emotional trauma so it’s hard for him to cope with this, but I believe he should meet the one he didn’t know about, at the very least. Right now, my full sister is the only one talking to the first half sister (due to her verbal abuse – we all gave her a chance and met her) and I am the only one talking to the second one due to the rest of my family cutting her out (for no good reason in my opinion). My dad has spent most of his life ministering to strangers as an evangelist, but has always struggled to minister to his own family. I know this weighs on him, so I ask for complete healing and restoration for all of this and everyone involved. Praying for peace, forgiveness and direction. Praying for all broken families. In Jesus name, Amen!

January 14, 2020 at 7:13 amFather in heaven, I pray this family may all put You first in their lives. May they trust You to work out all the problems, pain, suffering, craziness etc that is in their past and go on to maturity in Christ. May they be rooted and grounded in Your Word. May they see the gifts you have given them and use these to your glory. May they be able to forgive themselves and each other. In ourselves we can do nothing with these broken pieces. Wait on the Lord. Be of good cheer. Bless as you are able. Thank you Lord for all the verses we can hold on to as we move forward to being all we can be today. In Jesus name

January 14, 2020 at 2:48 pmHeavenly Father, I join this circle of intercession on behalf of this entire family. They are your creation, and we know that you love them far beyond our understanding. Father, I ask that you anoint this entire house to serve you and to bind together as a family. I pray that the spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation will permeate every member of this family. Father, while these relationships appear complicated to us, they are not for you. I pray that lines of communication will open up among all of these family members, and that there will be a softening of hearts and openness to a relationship with you so you can be their Redeemer and King. Father, we praise you for the gift of family relationships, and for how you use our family to teach us so many lessons about love, loyalty and unity. Let your peace fall on this entire household , and let your peace do it’s perfect work in all of these lives.
