July 3, 2017 at 2:03 pmDear DABERS,
please do pray for my father , His name is Shanyuan…
He was a business man and went on affair with her secretory and abandoned us when I was 8, then his companies collapsed and in that darkest period of life, Jesus shined HIS light into my mother’s heart , and she became the first christian and now all of our 5 family members became christians. And then my father came back to us, we become whole in appearance but broken in hearts..
But my father is alcoholic and doesn’t work because his ambitious dream to earn big money.. so all my family are in pain because our head is in pain….I quitted my job and am applying Torch Trinity seminary cause God called me clearly to go there on 17th Apr, but I feel I am losing hope on my father’s salvation! How come you called me to serve you with my own father dying in sin ? Please pray with me that I don’t lose hope on my father, praying he get rid of alcohol and get to know Jesus as saviour and become a new created man…..

July 3, 2017 at 3:41 pmDear Rebecca,
Focus on God, know he has a plan for your father that was made a long time ago, his great love means he will NEVER stop coming for him. But your father has a choice, Christ gives us the choice, for it is written ask, knock seek (Matthew 7:7-12) when we seek him with our whole heart (Jeremiah 29:13). I pray his eyes are opened by seeing you grow in christ.
By coming here know in your heart you really are giving this situation to God because now you have your family in christ lifting your father in prayer for you. So do not be sad or disappointed, nor let what is happening with your dad be a distraction to you at this time, the devil will seek to use this to hurt you and take you way from our Lord. God has giving you a calling, he loves you and your heart for him. Your father will see who you become as Christ lifts you up for his glory. Be strong sister knowing we are praying as you wish, knowing God is so pleased with you.

July 3, 2017 at 4:58 pmDear Sister,
So you know I was called to follow God just as it is written in Matthew 10:37 with my own family. In the time that followed God brought me in close. From this I know his love for you is perfect and his love for your family is equally perfect. He is their Heavenly Father, he is your dad’s Heavenly Father. Please continue your journey knowing his plans are full of love for your father and giving all your worries and concerns for he loves you, speak freely with him in prayer. Remember your first relationship is with Jesus and that will become even more special for you. Praying for you.PraiseHimPrayers: 1076Requests: 110
July 3, 2017 at 6:38 pmDear Rebecca: I am thanking God for you and your family right now. I am thanking God for your prayer request. I feel the sweetness. Our hope is in Christ, dear sister. That hope will NEVER fail!! My Dad’s father was an alcoholic and womanizer who left his wife and family to do as he pleased. My Dad was raised by his mother and then his grandmother when his Mom had a hard time taking care of him. My Dad told me the story and wrote it down about how as an adult he prayed his father would come to know Jesus. He also worked to have a relationship with his father. My Dad says that every time he would talk to his father on the phone he would try to talk about Jesus and his father would hang up on him. My Dad continued to pray. This went on for many years. Then one day his father called him and told him that he wanted to go to church. My Dad told him he should go. He went. Then he told my Dad that he accepted Jesus. He said that he spent most of his life living for himself…that he didn’t start off well, but that he was going to finish well. He invited his friends to go to church with him and told my Dad he would go and pick them up to take them. His father was in his 80’s when he began a relationship with Jesus. He finished well. My Dad’s prayers were answered. My Dad shared this with me years and years ago. This month my Dad will turn 83. My Dad always taught me that with God nothing is impossible and not to ever give up on people coming to know Jesus. I know this is true. I’m sorry for the pain and suffering your family is going through, but please be encouraged to pray and give thanks for what God is doing and will do! He loves your father and wants a relationship with him. He wants your family to be healed and restored. Pray and believe Him for it, Rebecca!
Father, thank you for this family. May their suffering and pain be redeemed for joy and peace because of Your love breaking through Jesus! Holy Spirit move in Rebecca’s father’s heart. Bring him to repentance, healing and restoration with his family and You. Remove all pride. Remove the darkness. Light shine in and set him free! Nothing is impossible with You!!! You are able to do exceedingly MORE than we ask, think or can even imagine!! I thank You for the testimony You have given my Dad, me, Rebecca, her father and her family!! Thank You Jesus!!! Use it for your glory and the good of many!! You are high and lifted up!! Be glorified in our lives. Be glorified in me today. I surrender all thoughts that are not from You. I surrender all doubt, fear and frustration. I give You thanks for each person in my life and this life You have given me. Forgive me for being ungrateful. Forgive me when I complain. Teach me how to rejoice in You and trust You in ALL circumstances. With my husband. With my in-laws. Holy Spirit work in and through me so that I can be kind, merciful, loving, gentle, good and patient…without You I am none of those things. But when I am weak, then I am strong because Your power can work in me. Oh that I would live with Your power! Make me an instrument of Your love today and especially these next few days when my in-laws are here. Forgive me for just wanting to hide away until the days pass. Teach me how to follow close to You. Thank You for DAB! Thank You for what You’re doing in Rebecca’s father’s heart right now! You are softening it. You are drawing Him to You with Your loving kindness. At the cross his sins were forgiven and through Christ he is a new creation! Behold the old has passed away and all things are new!! Let him walk in that victory!! Let his family see it, even now and rejoice at what You have done!! Thank You Jesus!! Thank You Jesus!!! I love You! I thank You for this day! I rejoice in You!! Your Kingdom come! Your will be done! We set our eyes on You!! Amen and Amen!!
Blessings to you and your family, sister! I look forward to hearing your praise report. Blessings to you as you trust Jesus and walk with Him. I look forward to meeting you and your family one day and introducing you to mine. Shalom, Janel

July 3, 2017 at 6:55 pmRebecca: I just remembered about how I shared the story of my Dad and his father with my friend Monique when she asked for prayer for her father. This was about 5-6 year ago…she shared how mean and angry her father was and how he wanted nothing to do with Jesus. I told her to believe that God would change his heart. She said there was no way. I told her how with God all things are possible. She knew this to be true, but because she saw first hand and experienced the hardness of her father’s heart, she didn’t see it as being possible for him to change. We prayed. She prayed and prayed. Slowly but surely, she began to see her father change. In time he began to change more and more, until finally one day she praised God that her father came to know Jesus! I remember how happy she was to share the story and give God the praise!! Monique loved Jesus and in God’s perfect timing her father came to know and love Him, too! That’s what God will do for your father. I believe it! Remember, we walk by faith and not by sight. I constantly need to be reminded of this. At times I can be so deceived. Recently, Monique’s father passed away, but you know what? Just like my grandfather, he finished well! He got to enjoy good relationships with his family and grandchildren and he went to church with them. I saw the pictures. They were all happy and smiling. Get that picture of you and your family standing with your father, Rebecca. God is able!! He can speak things into being so easily. Winning your father to Christ is nothing for Him! Just this morning, in my daily reading I read about how Saul was struck and blinded by light when Jesus spoke to him on the road to Damascus. Do not doubt- only believe! Begin thanking God for bringing your father into a relationship with Him! Speak it! Give Him thanks and praise!! Glory to God!! Thank You Jesus!! Amen and Amen!!

July 4, 2017 at 12:44 amDear Janel,
The two testimonies your shared so encouraged me ! That will also be my father, being changed and finishing strong in the LORD! It comforts so much when hearing the testimonies from the peers who experienced the same pain I am going through, I do believe this is one of the reasons Jesus set up community for us….
My father hasn’t cut off alcohol yet, but I have faith in GOD’S plan and timing again! Even HE took my father away, I still wanna stand firm , praising and serving HIM wholeheartedly …..
Thanks for your long comments , I am translating them to comfort my family and my friends who are in needs…. We didn’t know each other but the love connection is so true among us, this is surely an evidence GOD IS A GOOD GOD……

Know this the enemy wants to kill the fire in you by discouraging you. You have prayed and prayed yet see no change. Know that God is NOT done with your father. God is NOT man that he should lie. You go ahead with God’s assignment . Be that FAITHFUL servant and I tell you the truth , one day your father with proclaim Jesus as Lord.
The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few, so lets get busy in the harvest, Your dad is in God’s hands so do not worry about him. Keep PRAYING for him and asking that God protects him.
God is TRUE.
Be Blessed!

July 7, 2017 at 8:08 amI have seen so many men healed of addiction of all sorts and I am one, too. Not substances but behaviors.
My father was born Jewish and resisted Christ and religion all his life. He just had too many questions and refused to think there could be only ONE way. He and I also had no relationship after I pushed him out of my life as a teenager. He was verbally and psychologically abusive with mental health problems of his own.
But, you know what, God saved me despite all of my own sin and sent me on mission. And I was always in pain as I reached out to others on the other side of the planet knowing my own family had yet to accept the message of Christ. But God kept telling me that HE HAS MY FAMILY and my job is to be faithful. Keep “sneezing Jesus” and trust God.
My father passed two years ago and his fiancée told me afterward that he had been undergoing training tombs baptized Catholic. For my dad, that was tremendous. He didn’t get healing for all his mental health issues before he passed, but I did see him change. We had a relationship again, though not as close as I wanted. But I have peace now, and KNOW that he rests in Christ’s arms.
Trust God. Your Father in heaven knows ALL your pain and won’t leave you without hope. Your Father in heaven loves your father more even than you do, because He created him. Remember that.
God bless you.

July 12, 2017 at 10:54 amThank you sister and Praise God!
My sister
Listen… through your mother and the work that you are embarking on your family now and the descendants to come will be blessed . Why ? Because Christianity first began through your mother. Let her NOT put that light under the table instead let her make that light shine and speak about Jesus to the lost.God has already paved the way for you to go forth to proclaim the Good news of Jesus Christ. So go in confidence and the Spirit of Truth will help you.
Let me pray for your father now.Heavenly Father ,
I commit this dear dad into your hands. I pray that you SILENCE that wicked spirit of alcoholism. I BIND that wicked spirit in the name of Jesus! Lord let evil be expelled out of this man! Let alcohol be detestable to this man. I pray for his safety Lord knowing that even in his drunken state you still love him. I ask that you send your mighty angels to protect this man from any harm.
I cry for salvation upon this dad . Lord Let this man see NO decay .. let him not take his last breath UNTIL he claims you as Lord.
I cancel EVERY wicked scheme of the enemy against this man in the name of Jesus! I speak life over this man in the name of Jesus! He may be drank with alcohol now BUT one day I TRUST he will be TOTALLY drunk with the Holy Ghost.
Let this prayer make it to your throne of grace without any interception ! Seal all prayers made on behalf of this family with the precious blood of Jesus .
Lord let the answers to our prayers be delivered back without any delays. Please Lord by the power of your spirit let the angels assigned to deliver this answer be protected against any delay .Amen.
