Our youngest son is quite rebellious. He is 17 and homeschooled. He says he loves God and wants to obey him…but it seems it’s only when it’s convenient for my son. He struggles with lying and has anger issues. His phone is restricted and has filters. He doesn’t “hang out” with friends. His choice…we will allow that but he continues to have poor judgement in selecting friends and finds himself in much drama. We’ve had to be very strict with him over the many years because of his rebellion. He continues to “argue and shout” at us. He makes hateful comments to myself and my husband, including his older siblings. I know God has not ignored him nor our family through this journey…I’m growing weary and need a breakthrough..I love this boy
February 12, 2021 at 7:14 am17 is a tough age for a young man. I’m praying for understanding and compassion for you and openness and trust for him. A renewed relationship with honest communication where he can express his fears and accept your love for him.

February 13, 2021 at 8:51 amI will pray for you. We I have a 17-year-old as well. He pushes every boundary and stresses us out quite often, but he’s been raised in the church and in the word. In his heart he knows the truth and after he becomes a man (less than a year) I pray that God will pull him back where he should be as a young Christian man. We love him unconditionally and guide him,but at that age the world has a very strong magnetic pull and we trust God that He has got him and will guide his future. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
February 13, 2021 at 9:14 amLord, please take this family into your arms and hold them together. Let them each feel safe, heard, understood, and loved by each other as much as they are by You. Keep her son’s heart soft for You and give his parents wisdom, patience, and courage to never give up. Please read Ross Greene’s book The Explosive Child. His website is Lives that Matter. My husband and I took his webinar which we found very helpful. It may help you have new eyes to see and ears to hear your son.

February 13, 2021 at 11:39 amDear father touch this boys heart. Help him to change. He cannot do that by himself, he needs you. Guide all the teenagers. They think they know it all. Show him the right path towards to you. Help him to respect his mother and father and all his family. Help the parents to discipline. Father we need you in our life and this family. Your a wonderful father. We leave this child to you in Jesus name.
