Pray for my family please

    Today I will be taking my almost 14-year-old adopted daughter to stay with friends for a week. They have been foster parents for decades and have 6 (mostly) adult adopted children of their own. They told me to call them before I called social services. My life with my daughter has been rocky for years. Too many details to share. She has always stolen, lied and manipulated. She has had hundreds of hours of therapy but to no avail. Please pray for wisdom and the strength for the future.

    Father, lifting up this parent and child to You. You see it all. You know. Give wisdom. Soften hearts. May they look to You, trust in You and obey. Thank You for this family willing to take her in. Use them. Meld them together quickly and easily. Relieve this parent of stress, anger, frustration and anything that is not of You. Let them rest in You and give You the reigns. Parenting can be SOOOOO hard. I know. You know I know. You’re teaching me to let You lead. To trust. To obey. To just keep calm, quiet and to speak gently. I’m getting much better at it. Thank You!! Give this parent and this daughter the loving relationship You want with us. Let them love deeply and show how much they care. Let them be loving, understanding, patient and kind. Let them forgive as they have been forgiven. Hallelujah!! I praise You for what You’re doing in them! Fill them both with Your Holy Spirit now. Let them follow You and enjoy walking with You each day. Have Your way! Do great things in their lives. Be glorified. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

    Father, thank you for your provision in this sister’s life. This family is a blessing from You. Thank you for Janel’s prayer. May our sister take it to heart and rest in You, Lord. Where deliverance is needed may it be so. I join Janel in thanking You for guiding this sister through this time of taking new ground and growing in You. May she know that this is only a moment in time, and through Christ, we are the victors. She is an overcomer and no weapon formed against her shall prosper. We pray for her daughter’s salvation and that she would walk totally free in Christ. We rejoice now because we know You are willing and able to accomplish what needs to be done exceeding abundantly above anything our sister can ask or even think. Thank you Father.
