Hello friends. I would like to ask for prayers for my family and specifically my husband . I have been following Jesus all of my life and I am married to a wonderful man yet I believe it’s because he had negative influences from Christianity from his past that has caused him to have lots of doubt towards God and the Bible. We have four grown children, two daughters and two sons. Our oldest son is mentally challenged and we lost our youngest son, our baby, last year in July. He struggled with alcohol addiction to the point that it damaged his health, he got pneumonia and couldn’t recover. Addiction runs in my family. my parents and several siblings drink heavy and my husband and children as well. I believe anxiety is one of the reasons for the heavy drinking. My husband and oldest daughter are the worst in their alcohol addiction, as well as marijuana addiction. I have been praying for years for them all to be set free from their chains and to reach out to God for healing. Thank God my youngest daughter has a wonderful relationship with the Lord. But again her husband has an alcoholic addiction and needs God. Also, my husband Is in business for himself, and it seems that throughout our entire marriage, his business has struggled and never thrived. I believe if he would submit to the Lord, all of that would change. I am asking for prayer for my husband, daughter, and son-in-law, to be set free from their addictions … alcohol, marijuana, cigarettes and tobacco. Pray that their chains would be broken and that they would have a heart to draw closer to God. Pray that my husband would feel the need to commit his life and his business to the Lord. I am 57 and he is 62 and our finances have been a real struggle for the past year as we are barely getting by. I believe that God is using the loss of our son to tug at my husband’s heart.
