Prayer for Strength Under Intense Persecution

    I am married to an elected Sheriff in a small Nevada county. Sadly, prostitution is legal in our state and the brothel owner here is a very wealthy and powerful man. The enemy is using this legal pimp to destroy my husband and my family. We have received death threats, we are involved in multiple frivolous lawsuits, and they have tried to take away my daughter through their lies and deceit. We believe that all these efforts will fail but we are currently in the middle of all the storms converging into one monster. We are tired.

    I believe in God’s justice. I believe in God’s grace and mercy. I need to know that He is fighting for us because my faith is beginning to waver. I am getting weary as we stand against the corruption of our county, unable to help ourselves.

    My husband and I both absolutely believe that we are in the right place and that it’s the right time for the fights that are going on right now, so we will not back down. But we are weak. We need some support. We need reinforcements. We need to experience God’s strength. Please pray for us.

    Lord, I speak life and Holy favor into this families circumstances. We ask that you give them a clear vision of your will so that they will be able to withstand what is coming against them. We ask that you would give them the firm assurance that this that appears to be fighting them is purely spiritual . Rise up and clear the lies and the darkness so that their view will not be altered by false accusations or words. Let them see that this is all a smoke screen. Give them a new voice of praise. Let their perseverance and praise bring justice to their land and to all involved. Let the words of their mouth cause the enemy to stand down.
    Give them joy and laughter and a full knowledge that in YOU they stay vindicated and clean. When our hearts are toward you we are unstoppable! The enemy wants us to stop but we won’t. We as a people are rising up to take dominion over our territory, our homes, our hearts and our families.
    Favor, favor Holy favor. Our lord is faithful and just and FULL of love that we haven’t ever fully experienced. He will show himself mighty. You are mighty in him!! Keep up the good fight.

    God, Holy and Mighty
    Please be with Laura and her husband in this battle. Dispatch your Holy Spirit of truth and justice to bring them clarity and protection. Send Your Holy Angels to surround them, to guard and guide. Please, Father, give them every grace they need to prevail.

    Father, I thank You and praise You! I ask that You send Your mighty angels to hold up this couple as they stand up against evil and fight for what is right. The power and wealth of this brothel owner would be NOTHING without You! You fight our battles, Lord. Encourage this couple that You ARE FOR THEM!! Let them rejoice in You even now as the battle rages! Let them sing song of praise and declare Your deliverance. I pray that the blood of Jesus would wash over their county. Wash over the brothels and even this man that is causing them trouble. I pray the blood of Jesus over their family. They are protected by You. Forces of evil, you must flee! You must go! You choose not to be in the Light, so go! Light of Jesus, Light of the world invade the darkness. May Your mighty power bring hearts to repentance. May those working and slaving away for what is evil, bow their knees to You, Lord Jesus. I stand with this couple. I stand with You. You are for us! You will fight our battles. We will watch and see the deliverance of the Lord! Oh victory in Jesus!! You have WON the battle! The battle is Yours! Holy Spirit fill this county. Fill the hearts and minds of all those living there. If they resist You then drive them out- every last one of them. You are strong and mighty. Just the other day I read of 20,000 dying in battle in a single day because You fought for people called by Your Name. Nothing is impossible with You! All things are possible with You! I pray that other believers would come along side this couple and minister to them as I want to. Let them comfort them and assure them that they can rest in You and expect You to deliver them. I pray that this man’s brothel would crumble and fall- never to be occupied again. I pray it would become a wasteland and a testament to Who You are and what You are able to do. Shut the mouths of those spreading lies. May truth rule and reign in their county. May everyone see and know that the Lord is in this place! Humble those who seek to do their own thing and go against what is right and pleasing to You. VICTORY!!! I declare victory in Jesus!! You paid it all Jesus! You are Lord of ALL!!! Thank You for what You’re doing and will do!! I pray for Your Holy Spirit to empower this couple to press on while rejoicing in You. Give them faith to see what is unseen and believe that it will be, that it will come to pass because of Your strength, Your might, Your power! I love You! I worship You!! I want to hear the praise reports!!! Thank You, Lord! In Jesus’ mighty Name I pray. Amen and Amen!

    Jesus, this family is fighting for what is right and good and true. Thank you for their courage to place themselves on the frontlines of this battle. Please help them to stay in the fight in Your strength and not their own. We believe Your Word when you tell us that this family is blessed because they trust in You, Lord. Their confidence is in You. They are like a tree planted by the water that sends forth its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat (or threats, or lawsuits) come. Its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. (Jeremiah 17:7-8) We are believing this on faith and not on our sight, which threatens to convince us otherwise. This truly is spiritual warfare, and Your Word says they are fully equipped with the armor needed to do battle in the spiritual realm. (Ephesians 6:10-18) Please send others to join in this fight: brothers and sisters who can stand in the trenches beside this family. Confound the enemy. Let righteousness prevail. Bring conviction, healing and Your perfect love to those caught in the clutches of prostitution. Send laborers to minister to these women who are so lost. And to those whose money keeps this business alive by their patronage and exploitation please reach their hearts to show them that You are the only One who can truly satisfy.     Oh my goodness, thank you all for your prayers. Thank you Janel, especially. I could sense that you are truly with us in this battle and that is what has been so difficult – we are utterly alone. We attend a large church (outside of our county) and I know we have their full spiritual support, but so few of them are here fighting with us for this small county and they are easily distracted by the goings on in their own neighborhoods. God has given us this burden and doesn’t seem to have given it to many others. That is hard.

    Spiritual warfare is completely new to my husband who has a very broken past which is what is now coming back to haunt him. But he has given himself fully to Jesus and received the healing and forgiveness that he desperately needed. Please continue to pray that I can be a good, supportive wife to him as a babe in Christ and to encourage him to remain steadfast and hopeful in God’s future, no matter what it looks like.

    You prayer warriors on this and other prayer walls are the reinforcements that we need for our personal strength and we are so incredibly grateful to have such powerful brothers and sisters in Christ. I hope you know what a blessing you are to us and to those you share your hearts with in this way. God is using you to build up His people and I know that He smiles proudly as He sees your hearts for Him.

    The best way for me to fight this personally is to let God have it. The enemy wants us to remain focused on our personal challenges and to be fearful and anxious. But we have a very different battle here. We both believe that we will see the end of the vile “industry” of prostitution in our state, there is a strong movement underway in two of the seven jurisdictions in Nevada. If those two counties shut it down, 40% of our state’s legal brothels will be closed. We have only one brothel in our county and it is the source of all things evil here.

    There is a spirit of prostitution which has persisted in this place since our town was founded in the 1860s, it is rooted in greed and lust (silver and prostitution) and has never been cleansed of that – ever. But I believe that God is tired. He is ready. I was drawn to this battle before I even knew what it was, I knew that He wanted me to be here, right now. In fact, He would not have brought my husband and I together and united us under this banner if He were not ready to deal with this.

    Thank you for lifting us up as a family before the Lord. We desperately need this. It is the only thing that enables and empowers us to be present in the real battle before us. I love you, DAB family. <3

    It is a privilege to pray for you and your family, Laura! I have a brother who lives with his family in Las Vegas. They struggle with the ungodly atmosphere there as they raise their children. Thank you for sharing a little more about the situation. I pray for your husband and his maturity in Jesus. Help him, Lord, to lead this family in Your wisdom and humility, and help Laura to follow in that leadership and also to be a help to him with gentleness and patience. Grow both Laura and her husband together in their faith through this. Increase their faith. Knit them together in unity through this battle. Protect their marriage. Protect their children physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Please keep us updated here as things progress so we can know how to continue to pray.     Lord… we Your people thank You for Your continual blessings and safety being among this family and others who are trying to stop this vicious cycle of satan making a mockery and disgrace of the humans that You made in Your image. The Holy Spirit within us… bind and spiritual destroy those generational curses of lust , prostitution, adultery, pornography, gambling, intoxication, drugs, lies, stealing, murders, homosexuality, runaways and children being kidnap and being used to do all sorts of unspeakable acts in the state of Nevada…The
    U S A and all across this World. We loose the Holy Spirit of God …Our Victorious Leader through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior… to eliminate and completely destroy these satanic forces of evil and all his workers of iniquities.

    Listen all… Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.

    Father God – You hate injustice and love those who trust in you. We know that your ears are not deaf, nor your arm too short. Hear your children’s cry for strength and help, and grant them a faithful heart, despite the ugly circumstances they face. Intervene in your way and power to your glory! Bring justice to those who love you and free the oppressed. Father, strengthen this family’s faith and give them your peace. The peace you describe in Psalm 23. Yes, even when things look terrible, you are with us and prepare a feast! Thank you for hearing us, for giving us unity in all circumstances through our lord and savior, Jesus our messiah!     Since my original prayer request, a national political Super PAC has started running tv ads throughout the state calling my husband a rapist – he is not and never was. The source of this lie is a female from his past who did make an anonymous accusation to the law enforcement agency for which she works, 8 years after this encounter allegedly took place (and this was in October within 1 week of my husbands successful re-election in 2014). Her allegations are completely false, but because of the elapsed time between the alleged incident and the report, no investigation was done, my husband even asked for one at the time, but his request was denied, they weren’t interested because it was unsubstantiated and still is.

    It was a false accusation, but now there is A LOT of money behind these lies because those who are behind it are using my husband’s past as a tool to hurt the favored gubernatorial candidate in Nevada.

    I know this all sounds completely crazy, but it’s truly my life. The enemy is large, but I know that God is bigger.

    What I didn’t expect in all of this, is how the enemy is working to separate my husband and I from our church. We go to church outside of our county so most people we see on a weekly basis at church don’t have the full picture of what is going on and what the real fight is. They see the ads, they read and watch the fake news and they quietly distance themselves from us. Our church leaders are well aware of what we are dealing with and they are all fully supportive but we are trying to find a way of addressing this with our whole church (approx. 800 people), so that the congregation knows that the church leaders have chosen to fight this with us.

    Please family, this is a battle for truth. I know it will come out. I have no idea how and no idea when. I also don’t know what kind of damage will be done in the meantime and I don’t know what will be left after we win.

    What I can tell you, this gives me a little hope, my husband is expected to handily win the election on Tuesday. If he wins by any majority, then the campaign for us in our county is over and we don’t have to go on to the general election in November. However, because this now involves the governor’s race, these lies will no doubt persist until the truth comes out once and for all.

    All is Well. I am Daniel. God is indeed Good.
    I speak VICTORY over you, Laura. You are already a VICTOR and not a victim my sister in Christ. You are a child of the most high God. Bring with you in remembrance that which is the Good of yesterday. Praise God for it today. Focus in Faith on the Good, feed it and it shall grow inside of you, changing everything around you, in His perfect Will and His timetable, not your will nor your timetable. The forces that are for you my sister are far greater than the forces against you. In Faith give Praise to Him for that which you do not see, in every moment. What you do see in this world is temporary.
    A brothel is temporary. A lie.
    Understanding is given to you in return of your choices to “believe in Faith” what you do not see. Everything you do see, in this world is indeed temporary. Your Faith given to you the size of a mustard seed, together in agreement with the Faith of God is limitless and eternal.
    A lie has no power until “you” believe it, there is only death in a lie, no life. You, my sister in Christ, are the only one that can “give” a lie power, to do what its designed to do; to kill, distill and destroy everything that God loves in its well known limited time. A lie has no Faith, powerless by itself, made null by Gods gift to us, His Son. What a lie sees is temporary and is only of this world. Faith is not of this world and is eternal. My sister, “God is in control, on the thrown and in first place.” Tell Him this every moment and “He Will not, Will not, Will not fail you.” In the name of the Bread of Life our Savior, His Son, Jesus Christ.     Daniel, I wish I could express how valuable you and your encouragement is to me. Everyone here is my church, that is what God spoke to me today. Yes, I go to church tomorrow, I see those faces and I worship with those believers. But that is not the extent of my church. You are there with me in Spirit. I love you all.

    By the way, my favorite bible verse is Hebrews 13:5

    Hi Laura: Thank you for following up and keeping us posted. I’m sorry to hear about what you’re going through. What was impressed on me today was that you and your husband should stand in victory and not let this situation consume your thoughts or your lives right now. I understand that it’s easier said than done, right? But the impression was that you rest in Him and His power, His mercy, His grace and His goodness. Don’t worry. I know how that can be hard to hear when the stakes seem so high, but our God is the MOST High God. No one can stand against Him. He is for you!! I pray you both take that in and rest in it and rejoice in Him. He is your strength and shield. He is your mighty fortress!!

    Let the enemy and all those who follow him or serve him work overtime to slander your husband, destroy your lives and have control over your county/state. You stand in the Name of the Lord with total confidence and peace that He is in control.

    And as far as your dealing with people at your church…you stand in confidence in hold your heads high. Yes, there is fake news and false accusations that abound for you and others. I understand your desire to address things with everyone, so I will pray that your church leaders will put out a prayer request to lift you all up in light of these false accusations. It could be as simple as that. I’ll pray for it.

    Nothing sounds crazy to me. I’m just thankful to know you and to know what you’re going through. I believe that if all believers were open and honest about what was going on in their lives, we would be a much stronger and united church. We would know each other and be a real family.

    I’m reminded of years ago when I felt God calling me to go out to a brothel in Nevada to share the good news and bring Jesus to them. I thought it was the strangest thing. I was living in CA at the time and really felt called to get in my car and drive to a place in Nevada that I didn’t even know of. I even talked to my husband about it. He wasn’t too sure about the idea. Sadly, I didn’t obey. But thankfully I can stand in prayer with you now and be obedient to the call that you are being obedient to.

    Father, vindicate Laura’s husband. Stop this man who is trying to maintain control over the county. Do whatever You have to do to let him know that You are God and You hate wickedness and evil. Let him repent. I pray against the evil and darkness that is in Laura’s county. Light shine brightly. Jesus light of the world. Reveal Yourself. Reveal truth. Set the captives free from prostitution, corruption and greed. Heal. Restore. I praise You for the good news about the large percentage of brothels that will be closing!! Thank You Lord!! Be glorified in this county, Lord. Turn the hearts of MANY MANY MANY towards You through this situation. May revival come, Lord!! Let believers unite in prayer and fellowship rather than being so caught up in their own little worlds. Let them hear Your call and obey. Thank You for reminding me how You called me to go to Nevada years ago because You wanted to bring Your light there and set captives free. I remember how bad I wanted to get in my car and drive. I wrestled with it, but interesting that the only person I shared it with was my husband. I don’t recall him praying with me about it- only listening to me. I really believe that we need to be close enough to people so that we can share and pray about things together. I know it would make a big difference. I know the enemy doesn’t want that to happen. Lord, show me how to change this. Thank You for Laura and her openness and willingness to share. I want to lift up her hands just like they lifted up the hands of Moses during a battle. We do get tired. We do need others to help us keep our hands up in the battle. Father, I lift my hands to praise You and to strengthen my sister, in prayer. Fill her and her husband with Your Holy Spirit. Fire them up and keep them in the battle that You call them to. Let them not give the battle energy, but instead let them give You all glory, honor and praise. Bless their obedience. Brothels close in the Name of Jesus. False accusations fall flat, fade out and cease in the Name of Jesus. Shine Your light SO bright on Laura, her husband and their family, that everyone will know they belong to You and they need to be afraid of speaking against them in any way. Through them let everyone know that You are the One true God. Show Yourself strong and mighty!! Let their county be a light to all the other counties in Nevada and testimony to the world of how You make all things beautiful in Your time. I praise You! I worship You! I glorify You! Thank You that Laura’s husband’s past is the past. Let him be honest and walk with integrity so that others will see his good deeds and glorify You. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. Thank You Jesus! Your blood was shed for sinners. I pray that all of Laura’s county would come to believe in You Jesus and put their faith in You! I know that You are able to do EXCEEDINGLY MORE than we ask, think or can even imagine!! YES!!! Have Your way, Lord!! Thank You for all You’re doing. I pray for this election…I pray that You would bring out all the people needed to re-elect Laura’s husband this coming week and trust that he is working for righteousness and for the benefit of their county.
