August 18, 2021 at 12:42 pmLORD, this is a good question. In (Ro. 7:15-25 AMP) we have the answer. The Apostle Paul was perplexed with this same dilemma when he wrote – “15. “For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled and bewildered by them]. I do not practice what I want to do, but I am doing the very thing I hate [and yielding to my human nature, my worldliness — my sinful capacity.” {It’s the human condition} He goes on to say, Verse 16. “Now if I habitually do what I do not want to do, [that means] I agree with the law, confessing that it is good (morally excellent). 17. So now [if that is the case, then] it is no longer I who do it [the disobedient thing which I despise], but the sin [nature] which lives in me. 18. For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness–my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not. 19. For the good that I want to do, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want. 20. But if I am doing the very thing I do not want to do, I am no longer the one doing it [that is, it is not me that acts], but the sin [nature] which lives in me. 21. So I find it to be the law [of my inner self], that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. 22. For I joyfully delight in the law of God in my inner self [ with my new nature]. 23. But I see a different law and rule of action in the members of my body [in it’s appetites and desires], waging war against the law of my mind and subduing me and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is within my members. — [This explains the human condition] . Paul goes on to say, 24. Wretched and miserable man that I am! Who will [rescue me and set me free from this body of death [this corrupt, mortal existence].? 25. Thanks be to God [for my deliverance] through Jesus Christ our LORD! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind serve the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness, my sinful capacity — I serve the law of sin.”
The bottom line is we all sin. Yes even Christians sin. The Bible says in (1 Jn. 1:8) – “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” Paul explained the battle that we all face, there is war in our members (Ro. 7:23). God knew that Christians would fall into sin on occasion. That’s why He made provision for us In (1 Jn. 1:9 AMP) The WORD says, 9. “If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promise], and will forgive our sins and cleans us (continually) from all unrighteousness [our wrong doing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose.” Verse 10. goes on to say, 10. “If we say that we have not sinned [refusing to admit acts of sin], we make Him [out to be] a lier [by contradicting Him] and His WORD is not in us.
This is where we say thank God for His grace [His unmerited favor] and thank Him that he dose not hold our sins against us (2 Cor. 5:19 AMP) “that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, NOT COUNTING peoples sins against them [but canceling them]. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with God.”Glory✨ to God. Praise! Him forevermore…
In JESUS NAME. Amen! 💓JohnzhongPrayers: 21Requests: 22
August 22, 2021 at 8:17 amDo we have any reason about doing sin either our sinful nature or His grace? These are just using a excuse ,conceal or distort our truly motives. Lord, you know we can’t sin against your grace.
Romans 6:2-5
[2]God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
[3]Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
[4]Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
[5]For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
Jeremiah 17:9-10
[9]The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
[10]I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Thank you Lord give us your conformity words.
In Jesus name, Amen. -
