March 15, 2023 at 11:10 amA wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but
perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.Have you ever wondered what the word breach actually means Biblically speaking?
For one thing, our words carry tremendous power. Does our speech nourish others or cut them? Noble speech nourishes the lives of others, but perverse speech can break their hearts. By our speech, we are either a tree of life to them or a breach in their spirit.
King solomon commended the value of wholesome speech. He also condemned the damage that’s done by a person’s perverse language, or speech. If we find ourselves craving Godly wisdom to bless those around us, then we are on the right path to desiring that what we say will bring life to those who hear us.

March 15, 2023 at 11:28 amHave we ever considered what others think when we talk? Are they genuinely delighted with pleasure and reward and profit? Are our words helpful words of truth and godly wisdom? Do for example, the words that we speak edify the hearers with kind and uplifting speech? Are people thankful to have us around? Do we motivate them to goodness and zeal? Are we ask for advice from others, some unknown to us? Does our speech cause others hearts to brighten and sing?
Or is what we say, discouraging others, or offencive to others? Would others consider us to be irritating and avoid us because of our mouth? Are our families and friends upset and tired of our foolish talking, jesting, criticising, or constant whining? Let’s ask ourselves, do we leave hearers bleeding from sarcastic cuts and do they feel defeated by our negative comments? Or are others actually a bit angry because of our regular backbiting and talebearing? And, are we know as seldom being cheerful or thankful?

March 15, 2023 at 11:47 amWe are either a tree of life to others or we are a breach in their spirit. Our words either bring healing, or hurt and injury. Our words either instruct and lift people up, or they corrupt and offend.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (Pv. 18:21). We can be a tree of life, providing kind and useful words of encouragement, or we can be a breach in their spirit by speaking hurtful and discouraging words to them.LORD, please help us to seek after being a distributor of life with the words that we speak. And help us to never wait words in foolish banter or use them to hurt. Help us to study before answering, and to speak words that are only positive, uplifting, and beneficial to the hearer. Father, remind us that You gave us a tongue to glorify✨ You, and to help others. (Ps. 30:12; 108:1); ( Mal. 3:16); (1 Thes.5:14); (Heb. 10:24-25).

March 15, 2023 at 12:15 pmAnother thing to consider: Will our funeral be a cause to reflect on how our tongue was a tree of life to many? Or a breach of the spirit to many? Will there be grief for the loss of our words? Or relief that our negative and stinging tongue is gone?
Help us LORD God, to realize the seriousness of living in a way that is pleasing to You, and not in a manner that is injurious to others. May we remember there’s a record being kept in heaven in regards to every idle (non-productive, non-life giving) word that we’ve ever spoken. And how that we will one day be judged for (every) idle word that we have spoken.
The choice is ours. We can either speak words of life, or words that bring death, that are a breach to someone else’s spirit.
LORD, teach us to order our conversation aright! And to possess a tongue that is a tree of life to others. Help us to follow Your wise rules found in our Bibles that instruct us how to live in this way. (Pr. 16:23); (Ps. 19:7-11); (Eph. 4:29); (Col. 4:6).
Thank You gracious heavenly Father You that we have been given the Holy Spirit🕊 who is “The Helper” to assist us in controlling, and brideling our tongues, and in speaking words of life…
In JESUS holy name. Amen! 💓
