Isn’t God great! He has kept you all these years and you are well even after having smoked for such a long time. Know that it is never too late. Not even for that 98 year old person seeking redemption . Smoking and any form of addiction is a stronghold and it needs to be overcome by the blood of the lamb and that is why it is so difficult to it on your own. People attempt to quit in their own strength, but many relapse. I am glad that you want God to help you and I am sure He will do his part as you too do your part.

1st you must hate whatever it is that has kept you addicted to cigarettes all these years. All addictions are the works of the enemy so yes hate this addiction and purpose in your mind and heart to do away with it through the blood of Jesus.

You can pray like this or however the Lord leads you.

Dear Lord Jesus,
Thank you for loving me just as I am. Today I come to you for help. By the power of your name which is above all names , I renounce smoking in the name of Jesus! I declare that this is the temple of the living God hence smoke will no longer have residence in this temple! This temple will only have the presence of the spirit of God and for that reason anything else that is in this temple that does not come from God must leave now in the name of Jesus!
Thank you Lord for you will help remove all cravings for smoke. Thank you because I will not have any cravings! Thank you because I now will fill this temple with worship rather than smoke. Thank you because I time that i previously dedicated to cigarettes will now be dedicated to you.

PS; Please use the Full armor of God daily. You will need it . Ephe 6 :10-18 , also stay in the word, avoid people that smoke.
