God, I feel this request deep inside me. Reach out to John, and open his eyes to what his struggle is costing himself and those around him. You have not given up on him, even if he has given up on himself ever being free. God, you know what he needs. Hold him close and purge his mind of the desire to continue in this trap.

Heavenly Father, please be with John. Fight this battle for him. Break these bonds that have a hold on him. Let your Holy Spirit lead him and may he walk in the freedom only Christ can give. Bring Godly men into his life that can be good examples and give encouragement. We give you honor and glory; you can do all things Lord. In Jesus name-amen

Thank you Father in heaven for bringing John to Jesus. We know You are at work in his life healing him of the pain and suffering, freeing him from poor choices, leading him to still waters and green pastures where he can know peace and rest and renewal and blessing. Where he can become a blessing to You and to others. Send him all the help he needs on his new life with our glorious Savior who paid it all, who never turns away any who come to him.
