February 16, 2023 at 11:30 amWhen Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” Mark 2:5 In Mark 2, four friends put a paralyzed man on a stretcher and carried him to a house where Jesus was teaching. In effect, they were saying, “We’re taking you to Jesus. You may not think you can ever walk again, but we are believing for you. You can borrow our faith.” When they got there, the house was so packed they couldn’t get in. Rather than give up, they carried the man to the roof, took off the covering, and lowered him to Jesus. It says that “when Jesus saw their faith,” He healed the man. It wasn’t the faith of the paralyzed man but his friends. They lifted him, carried him, believed for him, and refused to give up. They had ripping-off-the-roof faith. God has put people in your life strategically so you can be a friend with faith. Don’t miss the opportunity, don’t be so busy with your needs and goals that you miss carrying someone to their healing, praying for the friend who’s hurting, lifting a coworker who’s discouraged. Let them borrow your faith.

February 16, 2023 at 11:33 amFather, thank You that You see my faith and that You honor my faith in You. Thank You for the power of faith to carry others to their healing, to their comforting, to their encouragement. Help me to have a ripping-off-the-roof faith to share with others.

February 18, 2023 at 10:30 amDear God, our Father, please grant us the insight to understand the importance of living a life that is pleasing to You and doing good work. Help us to recognize that our actions, whether good or bad, will ultimately be revealed and judged by You on the Day of Judgment. Please also help us and the world to be saved from judging, burden/sloth and to have the wisdom to understand and the grace to be honest and open in our dealings with others. Grant us the discernment to recognize when we are being dishonest or hiding our intentions, and the strength to correct our behavior. We ask that You fill us with Your Holy Spirit, so that we may have the wisdom, understanding, and grace to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to You. May we be guided by Your love and grace, and may we always seek to do good work and to serve others. Thank You for Your amazing grace, which is available to us all. Help us to recognize and appreciate this grace, and to share it with others. We trust in Your guidance and Your strength, and we pray that You will lead us closer to You each day. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

February 18, 2023 at 3:12 pmthank you Spirit doc. I loved what you wrote about borrowing others faith. Lord help us to take our eyes off of ourself. thank you for the faith of the faithful. those that stand in the gap for others when they didn’t have faith or perhaps did not understand faith. I will always remember those that have prayed for years and years and those that continue to pray. Thank you Lord that you gave us a measure of faith. We pray for more wisdom that we might share our faith and mix it with others . How many times the faith of others has carried me through. Lord you knew that we would need each other in the body of Christ. You designed it that way.. None of us has arrived ; give us FAITH to trust you more…
