May 10, 2022 at 5:06 amHi brothers and sisters in Christ. I have been listening to DAB since it’s infancy, but have never called in or posted before. My name is Kim. I am awake again in the middle of the night mourning a lost relationship with my oldest son and his wife. We have two sons. The oldest is a believer, and our youngest is not. Our daughter in law is a very controlling person, who we have come to believe has borderline personality disorder. We have made a strict rule never to say anything negative to our son about our daughter in law. We have always been supportive without being intrusive. We have 3 beautiful grandchildren that we have been allowed some limited access to. Our son used to be a loving, caring person who would drive 8 hours all night to surprise his mom for Mother’s Day. We live a few minutes from them, and now I don’t even get a text on Mother’s Day. I was told a few years ago, that I had my time, and now it is his wife’s. We don’t even get a Merry Christmas on Christmas. Our youngest son, who is far away from God, is kind and loving. He lives far away, but calls, and texts us on holidays if he is unable to be with us, and if he can be here, he is. Friends, please pray with me for healing in our family. My husband and I have prayed continuously regarding this, but it has only gotten worse. Our oldest won’t discuss the relationship with us.He won’t answer the simplest of calls or texts regarding anything. His wife will only converse about the children when trying to schedule a visit or sports game. I have lost more hours of sleep over this than I can count. Please pray for salvation for our youngest, and his fiancé. Thanks for praying!

May 10, 2022 at 6:59 amThis breaks my heart for you. Your older son has abandoned you while your younger loving son may not be a believer but is actually walking in the footsteps of our loving God. I pray he comes to understand this. That he finds Jesus and our Christian ways. May Jesus lead him to the Altar. Amen

May 10, 2022 at 7:18 amDear Kim I will be praying for your sons heart to be softened. Prayer will change things. I can relate to your situation. Please do not give up praying continually. A mother’s prayer is effective even though it may take patience and focus on Christ to get result. Continue to pray as we join you in praying. Let love win. Appreciate the little access you are given with your grandchildren. Praying that God will intervene in a supernatural and divine way to bring glory and honor to his name. May God give you the grace you need to tarry through this tough season in the name of Jesus. Amen Thank you lord for you will move with power and bring glory to your holy name. 🌺🙏 Gods Chosen OneGA

May 10, 2022 at 10:28 amHi Kim. I have learned through the troubles in my family life that you are unable to control the behavior of other people. It is especially painful when it involves parents and their children. I pray that through this wilderness experience that Jesus delivers you from anguish to peace. I pray that all is well with your soul. Of course, I also pray that you are reconciled with your oldest son and his family and that you can spend more time together. I also pray for the Salvation of your younger son and his soon to wife. In Jesus name, Amen.

May 10, 2022 at 2:20 pmWe Understand your dilemma Kim. My wife and I have been walking this path with the oldest son for many years. We too agreed to stay neutral regarding our daughter-in-laws controlling nature, and damaging religious up bringing. We also resigned ourselves to praying for them. I want to encourage you that here recently our son has been more forthcoming in communicating with my wife. Sharing pictures of the grand kids, texting (some). Still my wife didn’t receive a Happy mother’s day wish. And at Christmas and other occasions, we are not encouraged to participate in. But there are noticeable signs of the walls beginning to come down. This we are convinced is purely the work of the Holy Spirit. The fact that he communicates at all, is a minor miracle. We are, — and remain thankful for what God is doing behind the scenes. When a dam breaks, it starts with a small crack or opening. Prayer is designed to break through the fortified strongholds that act as walls. We are witnessing the affects of what God’s WORD says in (Ja. 5:16), The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much, or, (makes much power available). My encouragement to you, is to never stop believing, and never stop praying. Both are working whether you see it or not at this present time. Given more time (for God to work behind the scenes) I believe too, that you will see as we have, the results of your believing, and your prayers…
Praying in faith that the dam is about to break, and the flood of God’s blessing is about to overflow into your life.
Praying, in the matchless name of JESUS. Amen! 💓
