so I have a couple of hours before I have to go to work. thank you God for my job, bless my supervisors.
and I’m still not turning on the tv, and enjoying it, and I didn’t want to read, and facebook is like um people, grow up a little, (I know, I know, I’m showing grace and praying they find Jesus), but ugh, I had to do something else. So I started thinking and I believe I have mentioned that I have a friend who is just celebrating her 1 year anniversary of her 2nd marriage.

The hardest Doctrine I had understanding in Christianity, that I really had to say “ok God, I don’t understand, and right now in my life, I don’t think that is fair, I could live the rest of my life single, and now you are telling me there is no marriage in heaven ?
Let alone the fact that the doctrine that is promoted the most is (and I wish you could hear the melody because we are taught it as children) please pray against this doctrine as I tell you this childs song

well thank God I can’t remember anymore, and I served as the childrens music teacher for years and years, it was my favorite calling. and after my mom died when I was 17 this doctrine was the one that gave me hope, and I believe it is the doctrine that my brother sister and dad (and 2nd wife whom he is married in the temple, so yes my dad is a practicing polygamist in the eyes of eternal Mormonism, but that is for another time) hold onto.
So Angie puts this little bit of doctrine away when she as first saved and said, Ok well God, I’m already here, apparently I don’t understand something, so, I’ll just wait.
So I just go about the business of being a new creation and seeing what that looks like, discovering the REAL GOSPEL of Jesus Christ in the BOOK OF Romans (isn’t is funny how Book of Romans and Book of Mormon sound so similar, I’m allways having to check myself). Romans was my first love. WOW THAT’S THE GOSPEL? I kept saying
Then God introduced me to 1 Corinthians and right now I can’t tell you the verse, but if you come to Christ as a Single, don’t search to be married, and if you are married don’t search to be single.
AND OH MY GOODNESS, over the years this doctrine of Together Forever has just gotten uglier and uglier for me.
This Doctrine has created unhealthy people. they all go around thinking they aren’t whole until they are married, for women it creates this lie that they need a man 1 to get them into heaven and to just to be complete, for men it has created this since of I got to hurry up and get married and they don’t even mature into manhood and we have so many dysfunctional marriages in UTAH , I know everywhere, I’m just seeing my little world.
I also see the LDS church a few years ago, lowered the missionary age, I now see God in that, I thought they were crazy, but I think it will be part of their breaking. these young men are going out at now 18 but the goals haven’t changed, you come home, and your expected to get married and start a family.
and the girls have no fostering of what true identity and how to find self worth. I’m just now healing mine, and I’ve been out of it for six years. thank you Jesus.
Father I lift up this lie to you, and rebuke it in the name of Jesus
I thank you that my identity is found in you
I thank you everyday that I don’t need to see a bishop to confess my sins
or if a Migraine is bigger than me, I can have a woman heal me over the phone, not a group of me surround me in a circle
I’m thankful for the renting of the Temple Veil that shows me I can enter your throne room and all because of Jesus on the Cross
I thank you that Prayer isn’t a format “heavenly father, we thank thee…….,we ask thee….,in the name of jesus Christ….amen” thank your teaching me prayer circles and planting me in a church were spontaneous prayer happens all the time.
Father thank you for the peace of the thief on the Cross, that reminds me that the doctrine of Baptism for the Dead is not of you,
for Jesus said….Let the Dead bury the Dead….. there is a lot of worshiping the dead here in Utah, but again that is another day.
Just on a side note, I briefly mentioned the death of my mom, as a Christian, God and I have discussed it. I’m at total piece about it. I just talk about it, because I know others suffer, and I can talk about it, and I want my life experiences to benefit others. so thank God for putting all my broken pieces back together.
