April 26, 2024 at 11:28 amMy husband and I are in our early 60’s & moved from Los Angeles to Lynden, Washington in October 2020. It was unexpected and quick & heart wrenching to leave our friends of over 30 years & our beloved church. I told God and I told my husband years ago I would never leave because I knew what that kind of pain would be like. Lynden is a very small town with a history of reformed Christian churches. It’s been challenging to find a church body who worships the Holy Spirit. Every morning I wake in tears & knots in my stomach. But I trust Him & get off my bed. We are starting to make deeper connections, but they have families of their own & I feel like an island. It’s daunting in this world of such uncertainty when you long to be with those who love you, especially in this later stage in our lives. I fought this move but God made it very clear to me personally that He was calling us here and that’s the only way I could come. We can’t retire because we have no retirement savings so we are each working part time jobs & my husband will start taking gov’t retirement soon. We don’t have children (we wanted them) so I worry about our later years and how we will be cared for. My brother and I took care of our mother with dementia the last five years of her life. Her last year was in a nursing home so we know how important it is to be cared for by your loved ones who know you and understand you. Since we don’t have kids, I worry about how & where we will end up. I know that God will be with us wherever we are, but I tell Him “Lord, I just don’t want to be sitting in a wheelchair along a hallway with my head in my lap.” I do trust Him and yet I’m afraid—something of a contradiction eh. If you made it through this long request, thank you & God bless you.

April 26, 2024 at 7:03 pmHere is my encouragement for you on the other request posted earlier. …..🙌🙏🙏🙏✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨My dear Marygraphics; I read your post and was moved emotionally. I know the void and how it feels when you move from a place you have lived for over three decades. I am glad that the Holy Spirit led you to move. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ When God speaks to you and you obey; He honors your obedience; even when things look hard; He is sure to work it out. I also have had to move twice; and lastly from Irvine CA to Georgia!! It didn’t feel good when we got here; but we trusted God and we are now connecting with good people; making new friends; having fellowship and sharing our own gifts too. You may need to step out in faith and begin to plug in. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ The lord will take care of your future. Jeremiah 29:11 is his plans for you. He knows it!!! Proverbs 3:5-6; and Phillipians 4:6-7 encourages you to trust in the lord and do not worry about anything. Let tomorrow worry about itself. God has a special way of rewarding those who wait on Him and do good to others. I pray that you and your husband will be in health and will not have to deal with healthy issues. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨I pray that you will live healthy happy and joyful lives. Please find activities for Seniors and join association that promote healthy living. Keep yourselves occupied and volunteer in a good church outreach for your wellness. Praying for your continued comfort; and for joy to flood your lives. You can also live stream to Elevation Church and so many others around you. May the Holy Spirit lead and guide you. Will continue to pray for you. Be blessed and encouraged in Jesus name. Amen. Shalom 🙌🙏

April 27, 2024 at 5:49 pm▪️ ❤️🩹 🙏🏼 ▪️Hi there 👋🏼MaryGraphics, glad you came to this PW Prayer Wall. That’s a tough move at this stage in life. If it were me, I would definitely need time to grieve the goodbye of dear, lifetime friends. 😢 Not unlike some things I’m facing at age 65, ▪️ it’s a reminder that the good Lord is not finished with me, so He will give me what is needed. It’s commendable that you listened to Him and obeyed❣️ The late Dr. Pastor Charles Stanley, often said: “Trust God and leave all the consequences to Him!” ▪️ It really can’t be said any better❣️ ▪️ Although – that doesn’t mean it’s not hard or you can’t grieve where & who you left behind. Jesus will catch your tears. 🫲🏼 ❤️🩹 ▪️ 🙏🏼 With care from a fellow DABber – GodsgalMN 💓
