February 9, 2021 at 8:23 pmI’m having such a difficult time. My mom, whom I’m trying my best to help, spouts nothing but hatred and negativity. She says he believes, she was baptized many years ago. I live three hours from her and visit as often as I can. I try so hard to be positive around her but she’s having a hard time. She’s disabled, not only physically but mentally (by her choosing!). I came this week to assist her and my dad with some things and all she has done is spout negativity and hatred. My dad has been ‘permanently silenced’ due to her outburst at him. If I try to appease her she is sarcastic. If I try to please her she is so incredibly ungrateful. But if I ask her opinion or suggestions I get ridiculed for not knowing what I’m doing. It has gotten so bad over the years that my siblings no longer want to visit her and I find myself thanking God that I live hours away. I cry myself to sleep every night that I’m here. In the past 24 hours I’ve heard of AT LEAST 100 things she ‘hates’ and NOTHING that makes her happy. How can you show love to someone who constantly criticizes every single second of the day? Her disability is hard, yes, but she can choose to do better if she wants. I know giving up freedoms has to be hard but for the past 4 years, regardless of the choices SHE made, she has made life for the rest of us so hard even tho we do our absolute best to please and help her. Please pray for us, I’m seriously ready to just give up on doing anything for her and I don’t want to but I can not continue with the hatred that comes from her. Thank you

February 9, 2021 at 9:04 pmDear Heavenly Father I lift up sherry to you. You are a gracious and merciful God. I pray that you give strength and peace in helping her parents. I pray that her mother’s heart will soften and be kind to her children. It is so hard to be a caregiver yet You call us to take care of others and that is what she is doing. I pray that she leans into You as you draw her bear. I pray this in name. Amen

February 10, 2021 at 3:35 amLord, I come alongside in agreement with these prayers and the OP’s request, their heart’s desire. There are no words, but you hear my heart and its groanings. Thank You, Lord, thank You. Amen.
Be strengthened by the power of God, be encouraged, rejuvinated, reinvigorated, renewed and at peace in His might, and may these things be granted to all those similarly impacted especially the husband who is there without ceasing or nearly so. Thank You, Lord!, thank You. Amen.

February 10, 2021 at 4:01 amAmen. Abba Father! How You love Sherry’s mom! How You love Sherry! O Father, regenerate dear Sherry to know that her mom needs her more than ever. It may be hard but show her ways, Holy Spirit, to turn the tide of the negative spewing from her mom. O Lord, grant that Your Spirit sink the 18 inches for her mom and she begin to see – from Sherry’s example – how Jesus lives inside of us. Transform this relationship from one of drudgery to unspeakable JOY! Praise Your Name!

February 10, 2021 at 3:20 pmHeavenly Father
You see what looks so difficult, when you are caring for someone who acts out in unloving ways.
You know the heart of these children and how they do demonstrate love to their mother: through acts of service, physical touch, and the giving of quality time as they serve her.
Each one is giving and doing that which benefits their mother and not themselves.
As I read the prayer request I thought:
You have said in Matthew 6:4
….”to let your giving be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
It appears that all their mercy, loving kindness given to their mother is not seen, not noticed.
Prepare rewards for these children, who have shown mercy and acts of kindness even when it isn’t appreciated.
Help this poor woman, who is emotionally blinded by the enemy, unable to see the demonstration of love.
We pray You would heal her heart, restore her soul and bitterness flee from around her.
Heal her past hurts, childhood traumas, un forgiveness, broken spirit and all that the enemy used to break and wound her soul.
Show her what she can’t see.
May her children hold no bitterness nor inherit un forgiveness from her.
Heal her husband, restore his voice, restore his soul and make him whole again. Amenalvinlau17Prayers: 28Requests: 9

February 17, 2021 at 6:16 pmForgive her father, for she knows not what she does. Soften her heart and fill her with the Holy Spirit that her heart may be open to your grace. Give their daughter a respite from the hatred and abuse, maybe keep her away for awhile until her mother misses her dearly and changes her attitude and help her to forgive. Come fill their hearts and homes with your peace which surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen 🙏
